The longest DNS propagation?

What is the longest point of time you have seen for a change in dns settings on your domains to actually take?

I have six domains I have made changes in their dns settings on Friday afternoon and here it is in the a.m. Monday and not one has propagated completely. Four different registrars, and three different sets of dns pointing to three different servers. Not one works. I've flushed my local dns cache, used a couple proxies and nothing. Checking the whois shows the changes.

Annoying to say the least. Normally I can set any dns changes before I go to bed and when I get up everything is ready to go. Not this weekend. I have never seen such a thing. In all the years I have changed dns settings the longest I think I saw was 32 hours.

yup, i know how you feel.

but it only happens to me once a while when i buy a new domain to park them at a hosting company.
There was once it took 2 days to completely propagate.

but, 90% of the time, dns propogation works within 10 seconds

Most of the time it's the ISP that is using cached DNS records for a longer time.

GD took 48+ hours for me last week...

as sdsinc states it could be your ISP's dns cache causing the problem. They may have renewed the cache just before the DNS propagated properly causing a prolonged change over.

3 still have not resolved. The host says there is no problem, I think otherwise.

Switch your DNS to OpenDNS and never have to wait for cache.
You can always update their cache at cache.opendns.com

I seriously recommend this for domainers who frequently change nameservers.
