because the Chinese didn't get the internet until this year :xf.rolleyes:

Yes, I've heard the story thank you.

It's just an interesting parallel.

Right. No internet for the Chinese until a few months ago.

Well you didn't mention it. So my point was against this statement "Sounds very similar to what is happening right now." I would argue it's somewhat similar but not really, many many more investors now. LLLL.com wasn't even very close to being bought out then either....

Semantics.

Everything is always the same at the root. A tree is a tree - of course there are billions of trees, and each one is different. However, at the end of the day - it's still a tree.

Same here.

Yeah, crocodile is also a tree, because it is green...

A $$$$ Tree though :D

What a lively discussion...

No, a crocodile is a crocodile - not a tree. Have you not seen a forced buyout... I mean a tree... before?

I get it, chiming in on a countdown thread is like walking into a church and telling someone that their god is crap. However, I thought it was relevant to note that this is in fact a 7 year old thread... and me thinks that some of the original posters made some regrettable purchases.

So, if something was not sustainable in the past, it can't be sustainable in the future?

Do not forget the financial crisis in these years.

If the same flawed logic and reasoning is used, of course.

When I was a kid I tried to jump into the air and fly... that didn't work.

Just tried it a second ago... still doesn't work :xf.frown:

Do not forget the financial crisis in these years.

You are aware there is one going on right now right?

People, go back to registering orgs. Again, I was just pointing out that this is a very old thread and either it was ignored or not even noticed.

Maybe you should try again??? jk

It wasn't ignored at all, in plain sight and has been mentioned a few times over the past 7 years.

Oh come now, this thread has had digital dust on it since 2010. Just about every niche has seen a price increase as of the last 10 days. Again, just mentioning that this is a very old thread. That is all, some things to consider.

DomainVP, just looking at your signature... How were NNNNNN.com doing back then?

Well, I guess the West needed someone to start leading the matters.

Even western platforms are heating up.

GD auctions

xyxm.org $40
lwds.org $50
bgsn.org $57

Still 1/60 to 1/70 of .com prices though.

Yeah, feel like they should be at least 10% of .com, when .net is 20%ish. bgsn went for a good price

I picked up a few VR + LL domains

e.g. VRHQ.org

I get V is not included as Chinese Premium but they will like the rest of the world become huge fans of anything VR related. VR will be added to their dictionary I have no doubt !

I think .net is closer to 10% -- what are they $350 to .com's $2,800? approximately

350 to 2800 is 1/8 or 12.5%.

So .org does have very large upside as it is at 2-3% of .com right now.

It needs to get closer... for my sake. :)

According to Chaomi, .org showed the 3rd best trend among all tracked with +57% in one day behind only 6N.com.cn and 5N.com.cn in day-to-day increase (floor went from 118 yuan to 185).

LLLL.com grew by 4% and LLLL.net by 18%.
