Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

only if its fully pronouncable, and its sound is nice, and therefor brandable.
some people claim names like yigv or xekz are pronouncable, but thats worth $5.

"Pronouncable", right? :)

I think the way to market amyp.com would be not through pronounceability )

it is a great acronym for AMerican Yellow Pages )

to be honest, I myself do NOT see how using it in that way would add value.... really, only trouble. I, as an American, have never thought about the yellow pages being "american", and also AM/american as opposed to US seems off...... And, at the other end of the lawsuit rainbow, imagine that "Yellow Pages" would be more than irritated by someone providing the same service, albeit just for america, playing off their name. I suppose it is an option if done correctly, but isn't the angle I would take on the domain.......

I assume, Yellow pages by extensive use became a dictionary word and lost its exclusivity, if it ever existed.

See Yahoo! Yellow Pages: Yellow Pages, Maps, Directions, Addresses, Phone Numbers

It says in the title "Yahoo! Yellow Pages" and nobody is taking Y! to the court )) And, btw, the subdomain used is "yp".

E.g., Google had to fight hard to avoid the term "to google" to refer to searching generally and not just on google website. Because if that would have happened, and it was going in that direction, they would lose the exclusive rights.

AM maybe less used than US, but it is and it is easy to remember once it is explained. For usage, see AMEX for AMerican EXpress. And you'll sure remember the site if it runs like "AMYP - AMerican Yellow Pages".

sure.... like i said, is an option if done correctly, just not what I would see as the best option weighing risk to benefit. if you believe it is a solid dev plan, no problem, but I don't see enough in it to justify dumping the money into development and branding to compete with YP if it was mine.... certainly a solid acronym suggestion though. I might have to throw some of mine your way that I have been struggling with winner ideas for :).

SDX you need to find a rich woman with the name "Amy P". Would make a great vanity name address for one such lucky lady!

I really like the name regardless of the "Amy" angle. Lots of acronym possibilities!
