Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

Yeah I know, that's all he has inside of him though, pretty pathetic way to live I imagine.

Speaking of imagining, I can just imagine a group of LLLL.com investors gathered together at a domainer convention somewhere, all of us talking about LLLL.com and trends and various sales and whatnot, and then snoop sticks his little noggin in and tries to interject everytime one of us mentions a bad sale or if one of us says we had a slow week or something. It's comical really. In fact I should make a comic strip on just that. I mean, in real life, would he really butt his head into our group, and if one of us said his eBay sales were down for that week would he really go on a tirade of nonsensical ramblings about how we are all doomed and how this niche sucks and how quads are going downhill and on and on? There's no way he really does this in the real world, is there?

I seriously would have done that by now as I have in house developers + designers here, if it was not counted as personal attack

But comic strips are all in fun. No harm there! heh heh heh

Here's a little positive news that somewhat relates to shorter type domains, such as LLLL.com:

Mobile internet penetration is still growing and growing... The future looks bright and it very well could be that more companies will want shorter domains in the future, as many in here have been predicting.

This is actually a band's name. The person who purchased the name is probably Billy Corgan. This is, of course, pocket change for him to spend peanuts for this name.

Reminds me. I got a call a few years back from a girl I knew who worked in an S&M bondage bar here in Japan. She said this bald guy was sitting next to her and claimed he was famous. In a band called "pumpkin something or other). Asked if I'd ever heard of them.

Of course, I said no. Never heard of them:guilty:
Just another poser....

Snoop, I thank you for all the warnings in 2008/2009, but now you need to adjust to the new reality. You've been warning people during the summer not to buy, and that all premiums will be at $50, but June/July were the bottom months, and people who invested then are now gaining on their investments. I ask you to check the premium sales data of the last months. You will be surprised, and you will re-evaluate your position about the llll.com market.

Anyway, NJ yesterday:

gpfi $149
psdc $810

Honestly this is a stretch to me.
End users are not going to purchase short domains just because they are "short". They should mean something, or be an acronym that is desirable to them.

Actually a few will choose a short domain just because it is short - easy to type on the tiny keyboards of Mobile phones. Those buyers will mostly buy on the low end. We see websites on random (or formerly random) LLL.coms now. But far more will choose a short domain because it is an acronym for their business name - And they will choose their business name to fit into a short acronym. Last week I sold a double premium for high $$$. The guy already had a twelve letter domain that described his business, but picked up the short acronym of a longer (full) version of the name. Customers are lazy - a short domain makes it easer for them to go to a website.

You know what Snoop, I've done the job for you:

(Note, the last two weeks the lowest sale was at $149, and this sample doesn't show how much the better premiums have grown in value - which they did, believe me)

oblh.com - 9/20/2009 - $112
hgha.com - 9/6/2009 - $119

August:

avg: $113

hflp.com - 8/28/2009 - $110
dnhm.com - 8/29/2009 - $120
hfpr.com - 8/1/2009 - $110

July:

avg: $107

lgae.com - 7/27/2009 - $111
fagm.com - 7/26/2009 - $120
ocrh.com - 7/25/2009 - $99
lfeb.com - 7/25/2009 - $89

To say random quads were $107 one month and $118 two months later. It is another "20% down, 1% up, things must be improving" statement. I feel like a broken record here but something falls by $400 then rises $11 that is not a good market. That is a small squiggle on the chart, to really think that market is proving is a huge stretch.

It is much the same way as people thing the market is improving when dropped names take "only 15minutes to several hours" to get picked up, the cheerleaders "Oh that is better than 2 weeks ago!". People are clutching at straws with all this stuff, we've been hearing the same thing for 18 months.

Snoop, you are now showing your ignorance. These are not "random quads" or "small squiggle", the list shows ALL the quads under $130 sold in that month. If I was to show the list of all the quads sold under $150 you would see an even larger difference, but I don't have time to compile that sorry.
FACT, the market has bottomed out in JUNE/JULY, since then the quads are rising 5%+ per month.
I'm quite astonished by your comment that it is not a good market. So tell me, when is it going to be a good market, when it hits $400 again, and only rises 1% per month?

Have you ever wondered, if you think this area is such a bad investment, why do you spend so much time on it. Forums naturally attract people who believe and have a keen interest in the subject. Something warped about someone who bangs on about how bad it is repeatedly:zzz:; why not use your time on a subject you believe in?
