I have a portfolio of .gw, which I've named The Gateway Portfolio (see site):

crypto
btc
eth
nft
coin
wallet
token
dapp
defi
blockchain
meta
metaverse

What would you value this at?

.gw is administered at a decent registry (DNS.PT), but a very rare ccTLD due to it not being open for anyone to register.

Using the ".gw" as "gateway" ...with a handful of these words, I consider good value here. Thousands

The domain "crypto dot gw" ...Crypto Gateway, nice. I'm a fan

Thanks, @jhm. Let's see if the fan base can grow further.

The strength of the word props its head above the water. Then, a somewhat creative use with the "gateway" thing ...that's cool. You'll get some numbers thrown your way, I believe

I think the "Gateway" term is well pulled by Nifty Gateway, so in a sense nft//gw could be a good alternative too. Or an exhange through the Crypto Gateway. Or a gateway to The Metaverse. Anyways, it's a long hold strategy on this one.

Nice strong keywords.....in a really awful extension - no sales data on Namebio, the extension is not even recognised by them which is not a good sign for a reseller......

Seen this before and done it myself, register really strong keywords in a really poor, non performing extension and no sales come along.....

If you do some outbound you might get lucky, but sitting on these and hoping to get a sale is
probably not going to happen.....

Hope I'm wrong though.....

@NickB I agree to the extent that idling with them without doing any outbound is not going to yield a good return. It needs to be actively followed up, and it probably has limited wholesale value as investors, as you rightfully said, rely heavily on sales statistics to try to calculate a reasonable value. Without these metrics, it becomes a matter of retail psychology, and perhaps a desire for something else. It's happened many times before that unknown or unsexy ccTLDs suddenly gets a swing because of a hotshot startup. This particular ccTLD I don't belive many has seen before, making it sort of a unique little thing.

But, finding those startups at their conception and getting to tag along from an early stage is not easy.

This is also why I built a lander that pitch on a concept, to put some ideas into the reader - to make it more appealing. It's actually brought in high $x,xxx offers (for the whole portfolio), but not where I'd consider selling.

You've had high x,xxx offers within 5 months of registering them?

Your a braver person than me, I would of snapped their hands off and moved on
