The end of private blog networks?

After the recent Google Panda update, it seems that the private blog networks like UAW and BMR are getting a big hit, in which most of their blogs got de-indexed by Google.

Is this really the end of private blog networks? This is going to be a real pain for both the owners and customers.

I think it will still work if you used them while considering some precautions like use of keywords. Do not use same keyword many time and more time.

Why to spend time and money on blog networks they are just useless, it's much better if you guest post on popular blogs on your niche since you don't only get the best possible kind of backlinks but you also get traffic, build relationships with influential bloggers and their readers and at the same time if you guest post regularly you can establish yourself as an expert on your field, the benefits of guest posting are just not compared with posting in blog networks...
