I've been noticing that no buyers are really intrested in .CC. Most of them have no values and when ask for the appraisal even some good keywords are appraised in low value or reg. fee and sometimes even ignored. I only hold the total of 38 of this ext but most of them are double letters L-L.cc and double numbers N-N.cc. I also have 5 of 2 char and the rest are some good keywords.

I used to visit this Forum called speculator.cc once in a while but it is now parked at Sedo. I used to believed that this ext will pick up but now that is no longer the case. If the owner of the only Forum for .CC gave up the site this is telling me that I should also let go most of my .CC for which I will not hesitate to do so since keeping these domains would only bring lost in my portfolio.

Now my question is...
is this the beginning of the end of .CC? or is there a hope in this dying extension?

For a domain speculator dot cc may be a low performer, but for a web developer looking to secure a good keyword or keywords, dot cc can be secured for much less than other TLD's.

.cc is not a TLD and as a devloper I would rather have a keyword hyphen name in the .com or even the .net long before I would waste my efforts in .cc

Dot CC was originally assigned to the Cocos Islands, they sold the whole domain to enic, its no different to dot TV which was sold by the Tuvalu Islands for 50 million over 10 years, I'm no expert but I can't see how its not a TLD.

moped is right...

...and when it comes to .mobi, IMHO it will be a flash in the pan. It's an unnecessary extension, and when it looses it's appeal, it will also lose it's value. The mobile web should not differ from web itself, and when the day comes that you can view any website on your mobile device the same way you can view it on desktop computer... there will be a lot of .mobi's dropping. IMHO.

ps... Speculator is coming back FYI... so .cc lovers... keep a lookout.

Nice sales, gh :)

Again and again, I have stated before, only PREMIUM, one word keyword will sell well in the .cc realm. IMO *-*.cc is a bad investment. Think end user not collectors

Thank you, guys! .cc domains are popular in certain countries. I believe that the demand for numeric .cc domains is going to be higher in the future. $7,899 is a good price now for 99.cc, but it wasn't an easy decision for me to let 99.cc go, I was planning to hold on to it for a few more years.

So who made the offer first? you or buyer? I am interested to know who made this price first? :p

congrats!

Me. The buyer make several lower offers, I didn't take them. After a few days, I made the offer and the buyer agreed. I needed the money to fund other purchases.

I actually collected these:

0-0.cc
2-2.cc
4-4.cc
5-5.cc
6-6.cc
8-8.cc
9-9.cc

L-L.cc
M-M.cc
O-O.cc
R-R.cc
X-X.cc
Y-Y.cc
Z-Z.cc

Could anyone of you point out from the message above that I invested on these. Could you not read it right that I said I collected these L-L.cc and N-N.cc as I collected domain hacks. These doesn't mean I'm investing on this. I collected these for a reason.

What's true for you may not be true for someone else and vice versa. And what's true today may not be true tomorrow.

Bad investment you say?

And for those who compare the .mobi from .cc here's my question. How many domainers have actually developed some .mobi? Since .mobi was mentioned here this is what I think about .mobi. This extension is used for cell phone, blacberry, PDA, etc. Don't you think if you gonna used your mobile device the ext should be shorter not longer? And how many company really got into .mobi? as far as I know only major company with deep pockets jump into tho the bandwagon. And how many of you really use your mobile device to surf the web?

Just a simple question that's all
