The bright spots

There's been lots of discouraging market news recently. I was wondering what people perceive as current market high spots?

Here's a few of mine:
  • Dot org seems to be rising in profile. Not necessarily the sales prices, but the marketability.
  • Values of highest-quality LLL.com appear fairly stable.
  • The diversity of domain name sales has increased (Recent sales have been a mix of generics, geos, brandables, LLL, cctlds, etc. without any group totally dominating over the others. Well... admittedly, generic dot coms are always at command, but they are sharing the stage a little more equitably).

The bright spot depends on the niche..I am sure "Jobs" related websites are seeing a jump in online activity.

With most people unsure about their jobs or having been laid off, there is atleast increased job search going on.

Don't kid yourself, the entire market is down, highest quality LLL.com is definitely not stable and I don't see how .org's profile has changed.

It is one sided, lots of people looking for jobs and not many on offer, I really doubt job sites are doing well right now, the money in that industry comes from the supply side (employers).

Only recently have many resellers realised that end user sales for .ORG are common occurrences.

Fairly recession proof industries tend to be groceries, basic utilities, cheap clothes that type of thing, not recruitment.

Do you have any statistical evidence of this? That enduser sales of .org have become more common. I have seen no sign of it.

Nope - just my own experience with LLL.orgs.
