Text removal from an image

How do I remove text from an image without damaging the background of the image? A client of mine wants an image revised and I'm having trouble. Please help!

You might need to go in pixel by pixel, and do it, although some graphic softwares like paintshop have a smudge or push tool which if your careful will help. It all depends on what size text is on the graphic and how much time you want to spend re-creating the image.

The clone brush and heal tools in Photoshop are usually good for this.

Jim's right, the clone stamp and healing brush tools in Photoshop are your best friends when it comes to taking text out of an image (or anything for that matter). If you don't have photoshop and/or you dont want to do it yourself, try posting in the hiring forum and see if you can get sum1 to do it for you.

or you could download a trial of Photoshop, since it's just this one job. You should have Photoshop though, since you have clients, so good luck!
