Text Editor Help in Drupal

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with Drupal. I have a site made in it with a custom interface to add products. My only problem is the Text ditor installed, it is the FKC editor. For some reason it puts a bunch of tags and garbage after I type in it. The only way to make it work is if I use the plain text editor. I am not sure if I cam pay right now, but I am a graphic artist and will assist you with any help.

Also just wondering should a new text editor be installed if so, which one should I use?


after furtur messing around with it, I think the problem lies in the "input format" I tried playing with different options but no luck. It Keep putting the tags in there. Now maybe an update would do or something?

Hopefully this will offer some detailed things about the problem I am having if anyone can help.

It was created last year by a programer, I know I need to update to 6.14 (because it said so). The site was built for one of my clients so that they can type in their own products and description through a control panel. When it was first created I beleive it was working normaly but then ran into a problem with the text field, maybe because it was udated?

After doing research I found out that the problem lies in the Input form text. The main problem is that it keeps putting HTML tags when I try to enter a new product in. If I type something just basic, it gives me the

tag, if I add bullets it gives another tag and displays it. I read about different sequences and tried to work it out (not using filters ect..) but it still does it. If I use the plain text editor, everything works fine. But I can't ad bullets and I can only type in the products description in paragraph for using commas. Now that is ok, but not what the client is looking for. And the text editor can be simple no images are displayed in it (instead the images are seperate underneath. I have 4 or 5 fields to add products. "Title, Categlory, Description(this is the one that is having a problem) and add images (this is working perfectly).

Here are my questions, is there another text editor that can be used? I believe it was FCK editor. I don't know if this helps but right now at the bottom of the text field it reads this

"Switch to plain text editor
The ID for excluding or including this element is: edit-field-description-0-value - the path is: node/add/machine"

I tried testing this, and in the problem text editor I typed in:

test1 (I added bullets)
test 2 (I added bullets)

Now the result displays this:

test1
test 2
"

I really need to get this solved if anyone knows anything about this. I really can't pay money at this point, but I can trade my graphic services, am a graphic designer. So I am willing to trade a logo or something.

PS I am currently geting a full backup of my hosting account as we speak so I dont have to worry about screwing it up, it should be complete in a couple of hours.
