Is it that popular a word?

I will be honest with you, I had never heard of this word, until last year. I will taking my "3rd", and final class of a training program at work. I am not sure how well known this word is. Is is a word that maybe is used more in India? I didn't check to see where you were from first.

I don't think it is that popular in the USA, maybe I am wrong. I really don't see a high value in it, but I didn't check google, or anywhere else. Let's see what other members think.

Tertiary will most likely be referring to tertiary education. Primary, secondary tertiary. Even industries primary, secondary, tertiary industry. Am actually targeting universities. Well guess this word is not widely used then. Thanks for the inputs guys!
