Hey guys. It's the part of September, when almost all of the Terry Fox runs happen.
For any of you who don't know,
Terry Fox was 18 when he was diagnosed with bone cancer. As a result, he had to get his leg amputated. While in hospital he felt the need to spread the awarness of cancer. He decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. So, after training, and getting used to his artificial leg, Terry dipped his foot in the Atlantic Ocean(Newfoundland), and set out in hopes of dipping his foot in the Pacific Ocean (Vancouver). Terry began his run, running through Eastern Canada. But his "Marathon of Hope" was halted 20 KM from Thunder Bay, Ontario (3 day drive from Toronto), when he found out that the cancer that was in his leg had spread to his lungs. 9 months later, Terry Fox died (1980).
Since then, the Terry Fox run has happened in over 58 countries, as a means to raise money for cancer research.
So, I urge all of you to donate anything you can, or collect pledges, or atleast run in the Terry Fox run, because we might have loved ones, our parents, children, siblings, and we might have some people here on NP who are current cancer patients, or were at some point. We owe it to them and our selves to support this generous cause.
Imagine if you have cancer, wouldn't you be praying for a cure that could take you and your family out of all the worry? Similarly, imagine someone who has cancer, and is hoping for a cure, will you not make their hopes come true?
We should really think about this.
If you would like to donate, please visit http://www.terryfoxrun.org/english/home/default.asp?s=1 and click the "Online Donations" button.

That's all I have to say,
