October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month I thought it would be nice if we raised money for charity since it affects so many women (and men) every year. Here are some facts that will bring into focus the affects it has:
- In 2007 roughly 40,460 women are expected to die from breast cancer. Only lung cancer accounts for more deaths in women.
- In 2007 there will be approximately 2,030 cases of breast cancer in men.
- In 2007 there are approximately 178,480 new invasive cases of breast cancer in women, as well as an estimated 62,030 additional cases of in situ breast cancer.
Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women behind lung cancer. There needs to be a better cure to help prevent more lives from being spared every year due to cancer.
Please make a donation to one of the below reputable charities. You may also purchase a pink breast cancer ribbon here as well. All proceeds from the ribbons will go direct to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Acceptable charities are:
Breast Cancer Research Foundation > http://www.bcrfcure.org/
National Breast Cancer Foundation > http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation > http://www.komen.org/
Your generous contributions to these charities is greatly appreciated, whether you donate $1 or $100. Any amount helps...so please donate. Together we can make a difference! It could be your loved one diagnosed next.
Thank you for your help! :loveyou:
Sincerely,
Chris
PS: Please keep in mind charities appreciate any donation amount, even $1 helps!
