Template ->PSD question

Hi friends.
I recently bought a template that I really liked.
being that it is Friday, and my designer is off for a good weekend, I thought I'd try this out myself.

What I want to know is this.
I have received a .psd file of the template.
I can open it in photoshop fine.
what I want to know is:
when I rename the text(s) in various locations, can they be saved directly to the coresponding name in the original index.html?
in other words, is there a way for me to replace text within the layers, and then automagically save them so that they will replace the old .gif?
for example:

like where it says 'Company name', if I made this 'hello world', can I save it somehow and keep it named right so that when I reopen the index.html, it will now show the new text?

I hope I am making sense

Alright so you can change the text and then go to File>Save for Web and save the images only. It will then show up with the new text.

he's right. if u want to include the html file aswell change the settings from 'images only' to 'images and html'. i'm assuming that the template had already been sliced.?

Make sure you save only the images. If you save the html file as well it will overwrite the old one and you no longer have a nicely coded site.

Is there any online tutorials demonstrating how to use PS to build a webpage theme? Can it be exported to Frontpage?

I know all the basics and I just recently got pretty good at using PS and I want to make an online portfolio. Thanks to the person who answers my REDUNDANT (I'm sure) question.

guys...
I am in dire straits here.
I have pretty much figured out everything from the help I got here, and it is Monday, our designer was able to take over most of the stuff.
However, I have stumbled in what seems an unsolvable issue withthis template.
although I can change the text in the slices, export etc..., in the horizontal navigation bar, if I change the default text in the menu to words of my own chosing, the outcome is distorted. in other words, I get cut off words, or what looks liek fonts trying to fit in a smal box.
even if I change the size of the slize, it still doesnt work. I am assuming it is because they are horizontal, they are somehow effectiing each other.
I checked all tutrials etc... and could not figure this oe out.
anyone know how to change text in a pre sliced horizontal navigational bar while keeping the 'readability' of each button the same?

Please help!
