Hi, I am trying to make my first template but I am having serious problems.

I use Photoshop and Dreamweaver

I first make a template in photoshop then slice it in image ready and then go to code and add adsence to the website. Please do not laugh its my first web design.

http://www.pokertutorials.info/template trial/Demo/pokersite1-copy.html

First colum is for real content and 2nd is for adsence.

I can never get the template to work right it always resizes the html code when I delete a image and replace it with the same color in code.

ahh please help. I am fairly new to adsence and the whole website scene but ive been reading on here for a couple of months now and I have a arcade website also.

I don't understand what you are trying to do. It seems that you have about 4 columns on your page.

Ya ur design isnt well done... u might need to adjust the setting of the layout to where u plan on fitting in the adsense in the design... bcus right now it looks like the ad is just slapped in there

Ive never sliced or coded a template from photoshop. I havnt been able to find a tutorial on how to slice it either.

What I did for adsence is make a white box in the correct size and then slice the box and in dreamweaver delete the image and replace it with the adsence code.

the template is just a first trial the final template would look alot better.

im not sure what you mean by its just slapped in there?

I can make a template entirely on images fine its just when I go to change those images for Code it goes totally out of size and pushes the template around.

blue^ray,

I would suggest highly learning the basics of HTML. This will give you a better understanding of how it works. Rather than slicing your site and having dreamweaver do all the coding for you. The problem is that dreamweaver makes dirty code that does not necessarily work in every browser. Visit the link below to look at some HTML tutorials.

W3 Schools is one of my favorites. They are very easy to understand. If you still have problems, feel free to PM me. I can be able to help. Also, if you just give up and want to get it coded, I could do it for a few bucks.

I read the slicing guide "www.slicinggude.com" made for newbies and now userstand it more. I might ask you to do future basic coding so it is properly done.

Fisrtly i'd like to recommend that you shift adsense to the far right of your page,
secondly dreamweaver can be somewhat unforgiving to webdesign noobs,

but as i can't see what happens when you deleta/move images i can't really help you, if you dont mind could you do what it is that makes dreamweaver resize the code/page, just so i can see exactly what you mean.

Dreamweaver does this with me too sometimes, if its the same as what i think it is.

One last recommendation - always keep a copy of the original coded template (the one you did first) just so you can go back to it if anything goes wrong

Not really sure what your trying to do, but as a tip do not rely on " " alone
you have
------------------
<td rowspan="3" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> </td>
------------------

better to use a transparent 1x1 pixel .gif and add absolutes (sizes) to the tag to create space.
