I came across an article today and found it quite interesting.

And google reurned some articles from Forbes & Times magazine when searched for "teleputer". Then whois.sc told me that "teleputer" has been taken in all TLDs except .org. I know that extension hurts, but that was the only choice. So just regged it without thinking much.

So what do you guys think about teleputer.org ??

Hi Pratik,

Unfortunately, I see little value in the name. My guess is that it will never be a widely used term.
With the convergence of cell phones and higher level computing and photography, I believe the consumer will continue to call the device a "Phone" or "Telephone". In the U.S., people have continued to call the device a "cell phone", but even that is changing with the term "cell" or "cellular" becoming somewhat redundant. In other parts of the world where they say "mobile", that too is decreasing in usage because we as a modern society expect virtually all communication devices to be "mobile".
I think it is similar to the invention of radio itself: originally it was called the "Wireless Telegraph" but was later simply referred to as "radio"
