Hello,

As now many more teenagers are now starting to use the internet more and are starting sites of their own. So would it be right to make a forum directly for them?

As I am thinking about taking the plunge and starting a Teen Webmaster forum.

But I would like your views about this topic.

I think it could be quite a good idea...

I myself are a teen (15) and would find it useful...

...however, because i have been doing sites of my own for sometime etc, i might use forums that aimed at the older and more expirienced professional people...

...but i would still popin, and i think it would be good for developers just starting out. :)

I say, go for it, see what happens. :)

i've already seen a few of them and not a lot are successfull. like hitch said , they will mostlikely go into more experienced/profressional places for stuff like that.

but it would be a good place for starters though if you can find a few dedicated peple to stay with you there and answer questions to motivate people to register and stay. :)

I would probaly check it out, see the new ideas of the young people. Usualy they are the ones which come up with the million dollar ideas. Its probaly a excellent idea. :)

If the forum is aimed at teens, then that is all you will see at the forum. There won't be influences on that forum from older, professional, and more experienced users. It will also be guaranteed to be plagued with "oMG how do i do that!!1@!121eleventy OmG" threads from kids that don't use the search function or understand the whole concept of common sense... just my thoughts.

lol...

I can see where your coming from there...but, teens that are interested in the forum topic, will have some common sense, and most will know how to use the search fuction and be able to type...

The teens that do what you said, will be the odd onesthat stumbled across the site by myspace.com.

Well really, insted of aiming it at teens, aim it for people about to start a website, for newbioes, give them tutorials and help, best places to buy hosting/domains.

Good idea i think :)

Well the idea is really good but I think most teens would prefer to go on a webmaster forum where experienced webmasters post and share their knowledge and expertise. If you do start one then you will need to market and promote it properly.

i used to have one called www.businessteen.com , was alrite had around 60 members at one point. But then my hosting went and i hadnt backed up (big mistake won't do that again)
Anyway you could do it, i had a lovely skin on a nice forum and it was doing well.
