I've learned that namebio probably misses 90% plus if not more of sales. I have looked up my own sales from afternic that I didn't share on NP or twitter and not 1of them shows up that I didn't report. Then private sales happen daily that nobody has a clue about.
Edit: Also I am curious how snapnames auctions are calculated because I have several names I've won at auction this year over xxxx that don't show up, but my dropcatch names do..
Having a sales record allows you to leverage it in negotiations in the future, revealing the domain's previous purchases and sale prices.
This undoubtedly enhances your ability and leverage in future sales. This is why I often find domains on Sedo with ridiculously high starting prices. I've encountered 3 such cases in the past few months, but in most cases, Sedo staffs will halt the auctions if they detected any anomalies.
For example, if ******.com were auctioned on Sedo for $2,000, $5,000, $10,000, and $50,000, as long as Sedo security staffs didn't notice any anomalies, then NameBio would immediately capture the data after the auction ended.
Typically,We know that its impossible for buyers to pay so quickly after 5,10,or 30 seconds after auction ended, right? but NameBio has already captured the data. Howere,We don't know whether the buyer paid or not in the end, but NameBio captured the auction data already.
Next time ,When someone checked that domain at namebio and saw the sales price in the past ,They would have considered that domain sold at that amounts,
Therefore, NameBio should only be used as an investment reference, not as the basis for investment decisions.
