Congrats to who ever won these :'(

BostonLawyer.us $255 (I tried to raise my bid from my Blackberry but it didn't go through in time :( )
AtlantaLawyer.us $330

It should be interesting to see what Lead.us runs up to tomorrow.

What did exciting.us go for, do you know? I had that on my list then got busy with other stuff. Did pick up rogue.us, acn.us, domainblog.us, jpm.us and nab.us on drops though :)

Nice haul :). I missed exciting.us I never saw it on the list.

Among the many things that I don't like about TDNAM is the crappy "recent sales" list. Very useless :td:

Other hot names that dropped today caught by others:

ATA.us
BBB.us (!!)
CMP.us
bandit.us
champion.us
chronicle.us
dogging.us
everyday.us
feeble.us
mold.us
penthouse.us
quitter.us
showcase.us
sting.us
stud.us

There may never be a drop period like the next couple of months again for .US, these are mostly 5 year old TM regs that didn't get renewed. I'm probably not going to park the ones I caught, because some of these TM holders are bound to be quite "upset" once they realize they let their names go. JPM for example could mean a number of things and is only a potential TM issue based on usage, but there's really no way I can park it without "JP Morgan" (or competitor) related ads appearing.

Maybe that one can be "Just Pay Me" - smallprint (if you want this name).

Same with whoever caught penthouse.us - great name to sell luxury apartments, but be very difficult to park without becoming a TM issue.

GoDaddy, but these are backorders I placed back in December and still got beaten to most of them. I had probably 200 backorders on Godaddy at one point that slowly got reduced as names got renewed so you could even argue that based on the TOTAL cost of all the backorders, I made a loss based on today's resale value of the names that went all the way....

One of the most interesting things with today's drops is Pool featured most of them on their "hotlist" last night, but got shut out, didn't catch a single one.

My favorite of yesterday's drops was probably:

WON.US

Great name! It was picked up directly by the same guy who got penthouse.us and others rather than going to auction. Lucky guy!

It sucks having to pay thousands of dollars for these names at tdnam/pool/snap auctions, but it sucks worse to have no chance at them because someone found a trick for catching the drop. And when I say "it sucks", what I really mean is "I'm jealous as hell that it wasn't me!"

I picked up dozens of great .US in the last few days (including, incidentally, exciting.us), but I used the much less satisfying "pay through the nose at auction" technique for them. Congratulations on your great catches, Lasher!

There hasn’t been so much excitement with drops for a long time, I hope that all these great names that have been caught will help to jump start the after market and create new interest in .US

A lot of the expired names aren't dropping at all, MLN.us and MLS.us where moved to "in house account" at the registrar, then a few days later were owned by someone else who I'm sure has absolutely no affiliation to the registrar whatsoever :)

There's a bunch of .US names at Enom that expired around the same time as the stuff that is dropping this week but hasn't even moved to RGP yet. Not surprising, Enom has been hoarding a lot of really good quality LLL.us for a while now.

That's about what I thought it would go for.... I'm sure that in the next few years we will look back and laugh at the price it could be had for :)
