Hello,

I just finished building my new website: TasteDrop.com. I'm looking for beta testers & some feedback to make this site #1 for domain lists & drop catching, all at the same location.

I'm looking to add the final touches over the weekend & populate the database with the Alexa, PageRank & Name Server fields.

Tastedrop.com provides daily updated lists of domain activity for:

Afternic (Tucows Drops)
SnapNames
GoDaddy
Pool
NameJet

Easily track which domains are dropping, and which received a bid at the auction house. If a domain gets a bid, it will not drop & you'll need to counter bid to win the name.

TasteDrop.com offers a realtime whois monitor that can track your domains & alert you of any changes to the domain's ownership records. If the domain changes owner & you're monitoring it, you'll be alerted with the exact date & time the change took effect, so you can target domains of the same source in the future & catch the drops.

Tastedrop.com offers the following quick searches:

LL, NN, CC, LLL, L-L-L, CCC, NNN, LLLL, NNNN, VCVC, CVCV, CVVC, NNNNN, LLLL & English Dictionary for all the above lists. Now you can easily find valuable domains all in one place! Sort by All, or by godaddy, snapnames, etc.

Now that you have all your domain lists covered, you should take advantage of Tastedrop.com's drop catching engine.

TasteDrop.com Takes your domain requests & multiplies it by up to 5 different domain registrar API's. This means - instead of having a single chance to acquire a domain, now you have five chances to catch the domain you want.

For example:

If I want the domain: TasteDrops.com - then I can simultaneously send out a request to regsiter the domain at the same time to these domain registrars:

1.) Dynadot
2.) Moniker
3.) ENOM
4.) Expron
5.) OnlineNic

So now you have a much better chance at getting the domain by hammering the above API's to secure the name for you. Furthermore, the scripts hammer away on your behalf to catch the dropping domains for you. You can schedule the drop catcher to work right away, or at any set time & date. You can set the duration too - ie.. a start & stop time.

100% Unlimited Free Domain Tasting If you use the Expron API. Return as many domains as you'd like after four days of purchasing the domain. No guilt & no red tape, simply put, we'll take your tasted domain & return every penny back to you if you wish to return any domain for any reason.

If you'd like to keep a domain, the Expron API is around $8.50 per .com, .net domain.

Many more updates & features to be added to tastedrop.com soon. Feel free to look around the site & provide some direction. You can PM me if you'd liek a free limited time account. TasteDrop.com will be going up as a public website that's membership based. So make sure to get your free account today!

Everyone,

My host has temporarily suspended the account on which TasteDrop.com was hosted. It was due to an overload of users, a huge database & a series of attacks on a semi-shared hosting plan.

TasteDrop.com should be up & running in a couple days again 100%. I do have a little more room for free accounts & beta testers. I will hand out a free account to anyone who posted above requesting access. I will only be offering a few more free spots to new comers as the new dedicated server & resources to run the site are getting costly.

I will update the thread as soon as the site is back up & running. I will also PM everyone who's requested a free account their login credentials.

Any thoughts on a monthly fee is appreciated. Such as $9.99 a month, $14.95 a month.. etc. As you can see in success stories posted here on NP, the TasteDrop.com system does work & is a valuable asset to domainers.

Thanks for the feedback & I look forward to more feedback as soon as the site is up & running again.

Btw, OP had asked for subscription suggestions -

I'd be happy to pay $9.99 / mo. easy.

Specially if it can handle .in domains.

Hello,

Updates for TasteDrop:

The site is up & running again!

I apologize for the huge inconvenience this has caused some & according to my host - the site is guaranteed to remain online 100% uptime - it has all the backups needed.

The speed has greatly increased too in the expiring domain lists load time. The new server is providing a much faster platform for the API requests to rifle through faster to domain registrars since much more RAM & bandwidth resources are now allocated for the drop catching scripts.

TasteDrop will be going to a paid service as soon as of Today. Everyone who inquired about a free beta testing account will be granted a free account for 3 months.

Anyone who requests a new account from this post forward will be given a break on the price: 50% off, Tastedrop will be launching an introductory price of $19.99 for which, NP members can get a discount of 50% = $9.99 for an account.

The pricing will increase further after 3 months & will be similar to other sites like premiumdrops & exody. Some members actually prefer to pay more to keep their competition low for the same domains they catch. However, I will always cut deals for NP members (because I hangout here) & for the great feedback that's been provided to shape the site into a better & sharper tool.

API Update - the Expron API is no longer dependant of one registrar. We now have a pool of 8 active API's. Using multithreaded, tagged connections & our prefunded accounts at various registrars - We will push the domain (for free) into your account if acquired & you requested it's registration / it was acquired on your behalf. We are working on a pricing chart & checkboxes for all the registrars we utilize & their terms.

Update question for NP'ers..

Should tastedrop.com include lists of True Drops? Right now, TasteDrop targets 5 expired domain lists that end up at the auctions / preferred partners: SnapNames, ENOM, Pool, GoDaddy & Afternic.

If tastedrop includes the lists with all the domain drops, (These are massive lists) of all the expired domains from the raw registry files. These lists include the above lists - but they also include many more domains from all the registries. These lists can be complete & updated daily.

I'd like your feedback to see if these lists is should be include into tastedrop. Or if I should open a 2nd site for full domain lists. I'd tie both sites together & mirror the accounts, so if you have a login at TD, it would work at the 2nd site I open.

If these lists are displayed on the tastedrop site, the speed of the site will impair, thus hurting the drop catching program. However, it would provide a single place to get all your lists & use drop catchers.

If I make a 2nd site for these massive lists, what kind of filters would you like? Many have requested GEO databases, different language dictionaries, combos, keywords, names, zip codes.. and of course the normal.. LLLL, LLL, CVCV NNNN etc..

Any other feedback is always appreciated, don't be shy.. The sky is the limit.

If you'd like a paid account, please contact me via PM. There is no registration form on the tastedrop site because we're trying to limit the users to the API. The lists are free, but the core of the site lies in it's fast domain name acquiring technology.

Hello expron, where do i insert the Ip address for the dynadot api ? and can i edit the Domains I Am Trying To Acquire ?

Congratulations again Dan, GREAT Website! :)

IMHO, I guess TD SHOULD only have true drops and the list should be sorted ( pre-scanned) with the traditional values, ALEXA, PR, OVT, LLL, etc, thats why TD need a fee to sustain all this( maybe you can get this lists from a 3rd party).
Regarding the Expron API, everyone that want to use it should fund account first, this way you dont need to worry about people that catch a domain and didn't pay (even if its only the drop fee).
We all know thats almost impossible to catch domains with Bids on SN,Pool or NJ, so, TD users should focus on niche domains.
As you say correctly, the lists are huge and to avoid delays, you should use different servers, one for the API and other for the Webserver.
I hope you success with this, and if you need my help just drop me a line.
