Susan Boyle Didn’t Get Her Domain Names in Time

I thought this was an interesting article.

Obviously, as soon as someone saw the UK singing show, they ran to their computer and reg'd SusanBoyle.co.uk. It took four more days for the me.uk and the org.uk to be reg'd. (The .com has been reg'd for years by a texas artist)

Its funny cause I jump up all the time when watching CNN and other news showsand look into reg'n new terms and plans and other interesting things. I usually dont get them, but it is fun to see if I can.

Do alot of domainers do this? I would think it likely.

I did last year. There was a young girl on the show who I thought was brilliant so I dashed to my comp. and regged Farrellsmith dot com
Biggest laugh was I spelled the name wrong. :lol: It should have been Faryl Smith.

People have taken it to extremes now. there is a show tonight with new potential contestants and people have already regged the .com of some wee 12 year old without hearing him!
