Ok, I could of said something earlier...but, I am having surgery today at 10:30 A.M my time, it is now 4:36 A.M.
I should be in bed, but I love namepros so much that I couldn't leave.
I am having surgery on my labrum, rotator cuff, & a few tendons repaired.
I ended up tearing my labrum this year....*Spring 05'* in baseball as I play centerfield, it got to the point where I would need to take a few minutes to get enough strength to use my right hand to pick up my left hand and rest it on something because it hurt so bad.
I also have a partially torn rotator cuff that I tore last year in baseball but wouldnt tell my coach because I didn't want to quit playing baseball. I will say my B.A. dropped about 200 and I could hardly throw the ball from CF to 2B. It was a struggle and I pulled my self out of games alot as I didn't want to hurt my team.
All in all, I am sorta nervous. Its my first time going completely under where I will be knocked out. The surgery is supposed to last 4 hours. 10:30 till 2:30...and my estimated time leaving the hospital is at 3:00 if everything goes planned. I havent been able to eat for a while now...I think like 6 hours and I am fricken starving. I can't have anything to drink besides a sip of water.
I won't be able to go out with my GF tomorrow as I guess I can't drive *legally* since I was put out with drugs and I will be in pain. Lol...Yes...the doctor told me there will be some major pain at points. I believe I am getting 2 or 3 different pain pills.
I have to wear a button up tshirt for a while as I cant lift my arm...have to ice my shoulder/arm, sleep in a recliner
Woot Woot....and have my mom as my service lady!
I want to set up something on my computer chair so I can just sleep in it....and be on NP in pain!
I want to tape a pillow to each side of the chair so my arm can just sit on the pillow and have my keyboard on the pillow also so I can type!
If all goes well, nothing is gonna stop me from coming to NP's today!
