domain Suggest pricing please

I posted this earlier under different title..am trying it again because i received no responses...I have toycarmodel.com and have received an email request from someone from a marton system inc. asking me if it is for sale and if we can agree on price they will pay promptly via escrow..I have this name listed on sedo for sale but do not have a price set..I am wandering if the email is even legit and if so...what would be appraisal value? By the way they have not ask me to get it appraised.yet? Normally, I thought they would contact me through sedo..but anyway..appraisal values would be appreciated....and sorry if this is wrong thread for this too long question....

This is a tricky one to value. To some people this domain wouldn't be worth much more than $20 but to someone interested in toy cars, who knows what they'd pay. The market isn't huge but what comes to mind is a site for collectors of toy cars. My guide price for a person who is interested in toy cars, I would say roughly low - mid $xxx

I would be skeptical if the email stated that they would promptly start escrow although a price had not been established. If they ask for an appraisal it is a scam. Good Luck.

Yes..i agree that if they ask for an appraisal it is scam. However, they did not ask for an appraisal..they ask my price and said if they are agreeable, they will promptly pay via escrow...I just do not know what price to ask for the name...thanks...

I could'nt see anything in google for a company by the name of marton system inc - Do you know who they are ? Only this thread.

I would'nt think the domain was worth alot but you just never know - I would tell them to make an offer through sedo to be on the safe side and then counter and try and talk it up a bit. Even better if you can find out more about them.

It is a bit strange they are not in Google ? - If this scares them off it was probably a scam or a very low offer ?

I have gotten the same email about several of my domains, it is some .uk email address? I responded to one, and no reply - I think it is a con.

I do not expect to hear back from them...but I will let you know if I do...strange with no request for an appraisal..but maybe they are waiting to see my follow up to hit me for that..who knows...
