This is a domain I was planning to build a dating community around, but decided to hold off on it, then decided to see about selling it. I removed it from the auction at GoDaddy yesterday, along with the .net and .org names, since the 90 days listing window was almost expired and I had no hits/bids.

Today I received an email about the name, and they asked if I would accept a set price, then asked about an appraisal. Reading the email, I'm not sure if they are offering the given price without an appraisal, or just giving a ballpark amount and wanting an appraisal. I haven't decided if I should flat out ask them this or not.

Anyway, I decided to have a GoDaddy appraisal done ( yes, I've heard they lowball quite a bit, but was still curious what they would say ). I don't trust the automated online programs, as they seem to vary quite a bit, and who knows what type of criteria they are using.

So, I found this forum doing some research, and thought it would be great to get multiple ideas from actual people.

All information is appreciated.

BTW, this domain name has not had a site set up for it since I have registered it, if that is helpful.

Thanks, testingyou, that's pretty much, word for word, the email I received. I thought it sounded too good to be true. And you know that old rule ....
