Subdomains for a travel network??

Hi, Today I purchased [email protected]

My idea is to create a network of sites using subdomains such as...

http://[email protected]
http://[email protected]
http://[email protected]
etc

My reason behind this was so that if somebody searched say "Hurghada Travel Information" (if this was my main keyword) then they would see the site.

Is this a good idea? or is it best to simply create one site with subfolders?

Thanks in adv.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Subdomains are great idea and I'm not sure why more people do not do it instead of subdirectories.

Your new find is perfect for areaname.domainname.info

One caveat is you need to make sure you have real content pages and sections. Google is spending more time now reviewing subdomains manually. I'd suggest setting up the subdomains as you generate sections and content for them - don't set them up with empty or spam/placeholder junk.

I'd also suggest making sure you are setting them up correctly through your whm/cpanel instead of using redirects.

Nice find, good luck!
