I had this domain name which I had wanted to sell to the owner of the .net and .org. On 3 occasion, I emailed him and he would just read them without a reply.

Just last night, I got an offer from him after one year. But the domain name has been sold because someone contacted me for it.

I dislike people who can't make decisions as soon as possible same way I dislike those who show interest but don't even have balls to negotiate because your prices isn't what they have in mind.

I assume you didn't offer it to him for a reg fee?

lol... I offered him a very affordable price that anyone could be capable of paying for.

You can still buy the name back and resell to him.

Maybe their "soon as possible" isn't the same as yours. It seems like you are making really sweeping assumptions about the forces and factors at work in the lives of people you know nothing about.

I seldom negotiate when a seller comes back with a price which is outside of my range. I don't like the process and resent the time it takes to "play the game".

Most people in the U.S. have no idea how to negotiate because most of our society is based on the consumer retail experience.

I won't buy retail if I don't have to. Scored many wins on Craigslist using sales & negotiation strategies.

As for this situation; maybe there were some ways you could have gotten his attention to convert the sale. Did you try more than just sending an eMail?
