Now I know appraisle services are crap before anybody starts

I'm just trying to understand what they are thinking. I've got a domain gsegse.com that always gets great appraisles with these free sites

Maybe just cos its short ? who knows but they are as you mentioned - usually a waste of time !

The problem with domain names much like real-estate is that value is percieved by the buyer. It is difficult to give an accurate appraisal, because market value cant be determined until a domain is put up for auction. However, domains are tricky because there value can be derived in many ways.

Strenght of Keyword
Brandability
Traffic (both natural and backlinks)
Appeal of Name or wordage

Because all of these things are ever changing, there is no way to get an accurate appraisal. Ive found one of the best ways is to make domain sales comparables. You can do this at namebio.com using keywords and lots of search options. Or of course post in the appraisals section and see if some of the active domainers can assist with an appraisal (much more accurate than Leapfish!)

Free apraisal services take alot into deciding the possible value of a name. But im guessing that becuase it is a 6 letter.com they are giving it added value. But if you want good appraisials pay for them.

I thought about it being 6 letters as well but I changed the e's to w's and got this result

It's crazy. Does anyone know of a special meanig for gse. I registered for a former pagerank and it gets a little traffic

I don't put much weight in any appraisles but was bored and thought I'd try to figure this one out

Been checking. I think their site uses the archive.org result amount heavily in their generated appraisle
