I am changing the nameservers for a domain in GoDaddy... we've all done this a million times.
I put the IPs in that SurpassHosting gave me and GoDaddy gives me this :

Field Validation Error
Please correct the following issue(s):
# Nameserver 1 has an invalid TLD.
# Nameserver 2 has an invalid TLD

What's up? I can ping the IPs no problem, they are legit.

I e-mailed GoDaddy... haven't got a response yet.

What is the TLD?

Probably the system is expecting a host name and does not accept IP addresses.

Hmm.. I could have sworn I've put IPs in for nameservers before ...
Surpass didn't give names, just the ips....

You can still determine their respective hostnames by looking up the parent
Registry. Of course, it'll be tricky finding the right one if it turns out there's
more than 5 hostnames using the same IP. :D

I think I know the problem... I'm the stupid one! haha

I think Surpass was telling me the existing nameservers of my domain @ GoDaddy ... since 217.160.95.94 and the other point to sedoparking.

Dahhhh....

close thread!!
