I thought it was 45 days from expired? Here are the dates:

Status: redemptionPeriod
Updated Date: 25-jan-2011
Creation Date: 14-dec-2009
Expiration Date: 14-dec-2010

Should it have dropped a couple days ago??

'No match for "********.com" in the registrar database.'

Presuming it entered redemption on 25-jan-2011 I would add 30 + 5 days until drop.

Hi Tuning,

The '45 days' is only a rule of thumb, unfortunately. Some registrars can hold a domain much longer than this, and occassionally they can seem to drop straight away (in one particular group of domains I have been chasing they have literally become available the day after the registration expired).

Have you checked on 'Snapnames' when the domain should drop?

There are only two things you need to mention with these type questions:
1. expiry date
2. registrar

What is the registrar?

This domain was not sold during pre-release auction. Either it didn't enter a pre-release auction or nobody wanted to buy it. We don't know which because you didn't mention the registrar.

However what is clear is that this domain will enter pending delete on 25 Feb 2011 and it will show up on search results at snapnames, namejet and namecatch. When you see it on search results on any of these sites it will say the dropping date which is 2 March 2011 according my calculation.

You should backorder that domain at snapnames between 25 Feb and 2 Mar provided that you see a date next to the domain on search results. Seeing a date at snapnames is critical.

As for the 45 day rule, you are to late for that. The first auction is between day 22-42 and you already missed that if there was one.
