Here's one for you . . . Last week I received a $2500 offer through Fabulous for a domain that's listed there with the price as "Make an offer". The guy gave his name and e-mail and such on the enquiry form, so I wrote him a nice reply accepting his offer. No reply. So I e-mailed him again in case my first e-mail got caught in the spam filter or something. No reply. Waited another day, sent another e-mail. No reply. Waited another day, and sent another e-mail asking why he wasn't honoring his offer. His reply: "Too expensive." I kid you not.

Tire kicker.

Maybe he owns a similar domain name and wants to get a value on it by seeing what you would accept for yours.

lmao... I got an email for a domain that wasn't listed anywhere in which the sender emailed me that he would like to know if I would be interested to sell. I said yes I will if the offer is very good. I asked how much would he be willing to pay.. no reply. I contacted him after seven days of receiving his email to make his offer and still no reply.

There are some people who just want play games, waste your time... I am glad I already told him that ONLY if his offer was very good to which I was trying to gauge his level of seriousness, which turns out just as I envisaged.

Move on bro... its just part of the game.

Maybe, but, tire kickers usually don't give out their real contact info. Plus, it looks like he only owns four domains and uses 1&1. No matter, I just thought it was funny he called his own offer too high.

Sorry to hear about that. It sucks if you are excited for a sale only to have the buyer back out. My dad used to say "Don't believe it until the money's in your bank account" haha, I guess that rings true here.

There is a reason a buy now and pay right away option on gd, sedo, hd with their private portfolio etc works for many, sometimes they end user is excited abut something for a few minutes or hours, you want to make sure when that happens u are right there to accept payment
