Lately, I've been noticing a series of domain names appearing in sales reports that make no sense whatsoever, as shown in the screenshot below. These are being sold at a specific price range to avoid triggering fraud detection systems.

Are aftermarket platforms unaware of this issue? Or are they simply focused on the commission they'll receive and ignoring what's really happening?

I've been closely monitoring this pattern for about a month now and I come across it almost every day.

Would you consider making a statement on this matter?

A pretty good laundry job, aside from the marks left on the machine.

Why isn't this getting more attention?

If this is money laundering it could damage our own sales!
Because registrars or marketplaces might begin to filter sellers or add more security verifications like KYC method.

😲😲😲

So, are you saying that these ones listed below are also pinyin domains and represent perfectly logical sales?

Code:
lbzyzd.com $1235
jcjbqj.com $1227
wjcgfhb.com $1206
evnlims.com $1197
gdxm666.com $1197

Why on earth would anyone pay $1,206 for "wjcgfhb" in an expired auction? There are no backlinks, no SEO value, and no keywords involved.

Something fishy is clearly going on.

So after I explained the meanings of four different domains and what those words mean in Chinese, you pick five new ones? Maybe because it's hard to accept that these are ordinary words for over a billion and a half people, in a world that doesn't end at the USA.

And the ones you picked aren't even meaningless. Here's what they are:

gdxm666.com: gdxm is the pinyin initials of 光大畜牧 (Guangda / Everbright Animal Husbandry), a Beijing pig feed company founded in 2002 and still running its own site on this domain. The 666 is a common Chinese luck/quality suffix. A real business domain, just a cheap-looking one to Western eyes.

evnlims.com: an acronym stack. LIMS is Laboratory Information Management System, a real software category. EVN most likely stands for environmental, since environmental-lab LIMS is a known niche. So this looks like a lab-software product name, not keyboard mash.

lbzyzd.com, jcjbqj.com, wjcgfhb.com: six or seven consonants with no vowels. These look like the initials of multi-word Chinese phrases, which is exactly how pinyin-initials domains work, but I couldn't confirm a decode for any of them. Not recognizing a decode isn't proof there isn't one.

I'm not your teacher, and I shouldn't have to teach you things you don't know, but for the sake of the community and everyone else, this needs to be explained so nobody falls into the same problem you did.

lbzyzd.com

For the benefit of @kor, you're right, it is a pinyin acronym for Lingbao Zhongyuan Zhidian Fruit Industry Co., Ltd.

Lingbao Xinyaun Fruit Industry Co., Ltd is located in the middle of Zhenxing Road, Lingbao North Zone. Lingbao city, the triangle joint of Henan, Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces. It is a private owned company processing apple juice concentrate, fruit puree concentrate and canned fruit. The total capital of the company is 118 million RMB. The company covers 6. 36 acres, total workshop area of 13, 000sq meters. There are 200 staffs in the company, including 40 technicians. The equipment is from Bucher-Buyer, Switzerland, GEA Germany and FBR-ELPO Italy with annual capacity of 40, 000 tons of apple juice concentrate, 8000 tons of fruit puree concentrate and 2000 tons of canned fruit. The products have been exported to USA, UK, Greece, Germany etc. At present, our company has HACCP, KOSHER and ISO9001 certificates.

灵宝 = ling bao = lb
中原之巅 = zhong yuan zhi dian = zyzd

The auction participant paid $1,235 for a domain previously belonging to a company with hundreds of employees that supplies internationally. I've personally paid more than that for an expired domain belonging to a company of a similar size. Not necessarily the best strategy in the west but I don't know enough about the Chinese market to say whether it is a viable strategy there, but certainly, it is a coherent auction strategy.

I'm not falling in any problem. Those are not my domains, not my money, not my registrar.

Why on earth would anyone pay $1,206 for "wjcgfhb" in an expired auction?

Pinyin or not, there's no logical explanation for paying thousands of dollars for expired domains while they could just catch them for pennies after they dropped.

Plus; those are pretty specific price ranges like decided by AI itself.

So, I'm not eating that they're regular expired auction sales. There's an unexplained pattern which doesn't even fit for daily auction routines.

You dont think Dynadot based scammers are on NP too? I see the same names come to defend this.
