Toho, will you buy a stolen domain?

Wow! :o That's concerning. I wonder if the previous owners are aware, or care?

If you have an Admin address for your domains say [email protected] and you let mydomain.com expire you allow someone else to register mydomain.com when it drops.
Having possession of mydomain.com that person now has the email address [email protected].
By using that email address they can authorise the transfer of any domain having it as an admin email address.
It happens regularly and is a reason why we need to keep reminding ourselves not to allow our admin email domains to expire.

Excelllent post, Mr. Webname.

What makes it even worse is people using hotmail/yahoo based free mail accounts as their admin addresses. Often those free email accounts are deactivated due to inactivity. It then makes it soooo easy for a scammer to steal all the domain names by simply signing up for that email address.

I just can't imagine why anyone in this business would risk their domains by using any such free email addresses in their domain registration records.

investagator,

it seems that you have made some large accusations there
and I believe it stems from the sale of KS.com on afternic for 10K

I personally know the owner of pagiz interactive and can contest to his integrity

I have been in the domain industry for quite some time have built a great reputation with everyone here

it seems to me you did nothing more then look at the owners other afternic listings and drew your own conclusions

if you are interested in more details, please PM as this is a close contact and friend of mine

I would be happy to accommodate you

it is good that you have a good eye for things that seem out of the ordinary - we need more people like that actually

but I can assure you with my reputation on the line that these domains are NOT stolen, anyone here can attest to the integrity of my dealings and I would not stand up for something or someone that I felt was not legit.

BTW welcome to the forums I hope that your stay here is one to contribute greatly to the domain industry :)

investigator

I’m unsure of your motives seeing that you posted this on multiple forums and that you are a New member

you need to be able to provide proof of what you accuse.

Like I said before I can attest to the integrity of this seller.

your right stokie

it's good to keep an eye out for possible stolen domains but it is definitely not the case here

there was actually email sent from some yahoo address threatening about these names and others from some person who seems to be approaching the age of 12

hope this isn't something to do with that.

HAHAHA

You are brokers. You buy cheap domains of thieves.

Are you blind? The domains are stolen cynically.

Then call the telephone or send a snailmail for old owners.

We have no reason at all to believe that it is stolen. Are you the rightful owner? If you are, then file a legal complaint. The domain is valuable enough to be worth the expense.

If you are not the rightful owner, then you have little right to get involved. And absolutely zero right to accuse others without evidence.

Hello everyone.

My name is Chadwick Horn and I am the one that my good friend ((sarcasm)) "investigator" is calling a thief. Chris, cjmacd, called my attention to this matter and I am now taking the time to bring to rest this "claim to investigative fame" once and for all.

Prior to delving into the lack of mind I am trying to understand with "investigator," allow me to call to attention the lack of both maturity and the understanding of basic English grammar. The only excuse for this 'cause for concern' that I can fathom is that he/she/it/shit (she, he, AND it) is/are around the prepubescent age of 12 and only takes into consideration the facts which are given to them on a silver platter WITH an appended definition and/or reason. I'm sorry to tell you this "investigator," but life, much like your arguments and comment sent via email (read below - from an "anonymous" yahoo account no less) aren't organized like that.

I have been a victim of both purchasing hijacked domains and having domains hijacked from me. Regarding either case, it's not fun as the process to get them back usually takes an entire registration period (speedy Network Solutions no less) to have claim to what was rightfully yours (or mine) from the beginning. If you are indeed the previous owner of one (or all) of my domains and you can show me proof that you are, without a doubt, the rightful owner, I will release them back to you with no further questions asked. I have very close contacts at the majority of the registrars and we know each other by a first name basis. Getting information about the hijackers will be no problem.

"Investigator," when you have been in the domain industry as long as I have, you learn the tricks of the trade. You also gain hundreds of connections which, in turn, strengthens your backing power when it comes to cases such as this. I let people think I am new to the domain industry so I am able to see who is BSing me and who is honest. Chris has been beyond honest. He did not have to risk his good name on my behalf nor did I ask him to, but he did do to the fact that I am honest and when I take claim to something I say, I can prove it. I have an internal strength in the domain industry you seem to lack and it's sad that you'll never get it either. Although I have personally lost no feelings for you (somewhat had when you're in the negative from the beginning), I can't speak for the rest of the participants on here.

One last thought I wanted to leave you with "investigator," is that if you want to flame a board or someone's business and/or personal email (of which all three occurred to me), it's one thing. When you claim to have called the authorities (although they've probably enjoyed the laugh caused from it - if in fact you did call them) you are involving the US federal government which, as with most other entities in the "real world," I have connections with. I am a US Navy veteran. My primary job in the Navy was working with computers in the field of intelligence. Covering your footprints by using an anonymous email service such as yahoo is useless, when the one you're hiding them from made the shoe it's wearing.

Anyhow, for everyone getting a laugh from this post, below is the IP and headers/email/information I received from our "friend" last night. Seems he's a little upset he doesn't have the domains I do.

NOTE: If you're an Alexa user, it can take up for 3+ months for an update to occur. I purchased XXXHOST.COM in May and it was just updated with my information last month; after submitting my contact changes the day my DNS resolved.

QUESTION: Is he calling the police retarded? O_o

BTW - I traced him to a Japanese ISP. ((Sighs)) No wonder he didn't call the contacts himself - he would get into trouble by his parents...

What a loser! I've noticed more and more jokers like this one infesting the NamePros forum the past week or so. Truly sad. Props to Pagiz for having his facts straight Also...

Now that's entertainment! I guess there's one in every bunch! Although I must say... Being fairly new to the domain name industry... it was a great lesson learned!

Why don't you turn him in for false whois on that domain "definedhost.com"? I'm still amazed that nobody has taken a road trip to get this guy. From what I have read he has stole thousand's of dollars from people.
