domain STIForums.com - have interested buyer. Advice?

Obviously this is a domain to be used by websites devoted to the Subaru WRX STI. Keep in mind that STIs have a rabid fanbase and basically every person who buys this car is young, and very active in tuning / car research. There are some very big and active STI sites on the internet and one is interested in purchasing this domain.

Any advice on how much to ask for?

STi is Subaru Technica International and does have a huge following.

The question is, what is your forum doing to turn traffic and participation in to MONEY?

What is it earning? That is how I would determine it's worth.

Without that, I should think that you'd get pretty low $xx offers.

This domain is not being developed by me. It is to be sold to an already established STI site / forum which has a very big userbase as well as a store, sponsors, and dedicated advertising. That site is owned by a parent company which has offices, and sponsors actual STi race cars. Hopefully this gives you a little bit of a better idea.
