Start on phpBB move to vBulletin?

I'm thinking of starting a website up and having a forum on the website. Instead of spending the $120 on a vBulletin license (used)... has anyone started with phpBB and moved up to vBulletin using the database upload feature vBulletin has?

Any thing you have noticed that were not good? From how the transfer went to what the members thought?

I think NamePros.com , started the same , on phpbb and then they moved to VB :P

I would just buy the vb license if you plan to buy it down the road, it's 100% better.

You might run into problems with phpBB because it's only in RC7.

If you have to start with something, start with MyBB.

It is the closest free script to vB.
