In February sh has been slow but I’ve sold a few sh names via afternic including

I will be monitoring the number of sh listed names sold at afternic vs sold in the sh marketplace over the next months.

No sh marketplace sales to report in February yet. Will share more as sales occur. Cheers

 

It will be helpful to know if this issue is with me or SH side problem..

When I am searching with keywords I am getting same results every time...

In other words what word you enter doesn't matter...it simply loading same page again.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I have noticed the ability to lower the prices below the accepted SquadHelp price is no more. I did a search by price in the marketplace and there are at least 1000 domains priced from $899 to $1499. Probably there are thousands more selling at $1499 but the search is limited to the first 10 pages. These are all curated SH domains, not domains from the WLM.

So a prospective customer comes in, wants a curated domain in lets say Fintech and clicks short by price. He can buy DelVinci for $899 and hundreds of Fintech SH curated names below $1499. He will never see my names because they were accepted at the new SH minimum price of $1999 and there is no way I can change that.

So in order for the playing field to be level, please either put a minimum rock bottom price for all curated SH domains or give ALL sellers the ability to price the domains as low as the like.

 

They should put a minimum bottom price for all domains.

 

has anyone had success in removing their own squad premium listings from showing in their WLM pages ?

I have gone to each individual domain and set the " Make Featured WLM " to " Not Featured "

I have then cleared cache multiple times from both the WLM
Seller Marketplace Preferences , The individual domains cache option & My browser

I am still seeing them in my WLM , and im going crazy. @anyone please.

 

As far as I'm aware, you do not have the option of hiding your SH premium listings from view on your WLM. The featured/not featured function changes where on the page a name is displayed, but it doesn't remove the name completely. Your SH premium names are included in your WLM automatically.

 

@GrantP could you chime in here please. I see both options in drop down of 1-50 AND " Not Featured " option. It would be disappointing for me if I'm forced to blend my premiums with a WLM I want to be unique on their own.

 

Gotta say it ... pretty impressed with the review process lately.

Yesterday I submitted a name (paid 1 Coin) and less than 20 hours the domain has been reviewed, listed and logo designed already. The designer also took time to get in touch and ask me how I want the logo to look like.

Impressive! Well done SH!

 

Very soon, the Featured Sales section of SH dashboard will be completely taken over by Private Seller.

@GrantP Will you please explain us the difference between Relevance Search (which is the current default) and Most Popular Search?

From example when I search for keyword "Health", the Relevance Search shows me Health related domains that almost all do not have the word "Health" in the name. The Most Popular Search shows me names, which ALL contain the exact keyword "Health"

Personally I believe the search names should be switched so the Relevance will be the keyword influenced and the popular based on the name's ranking and popularity in SH.

 

It is a mix of reasons. For me it was childish fake offers that magically stopped when I was private seller on the stats top 10

It is a requested feature by individual sellers

 

Currently the Premium domains in your portfolio are automatically added to your White Label Marketplace in addition to your standard listings. You do have the option to adjust the position of the names you would like to see in the homepage of your WLM. In future we will be adding additional options to manage the rankings of the domains.

 

We continue to make updates to our Search algorithm to ensure that the search results are relevant to user's intent. In our experience, when users search for broad industry keywords such as "Clothing", "Health", "Beauty", "Finance" etc, they are typically not looking for those exact keywords inside the name - rather, they are are looking for names that are a good fit for those industries. On the other hand, if someone is searching for specific keywords such as "Logic" or "Herb", they are likely looking for names that contain those keywords.

In addition to above, we now personalize the search rankings based upon your previous interactions with the platform. For example, if you have previously explored names in the "Food" category, and then you do a search for a keyword such as "Green", you will likely see Food related names that contain "Green" keyword ahead of other names that contain the "Green" keyword.

We have made several adjustments to the Relevance sorting to optimize the results, however this is currently in progress and we will be making further adjustments on an ongoing basis. In addition, we will be applying similar rules to the Most Popular sorting in the near future as well.

@GrantP I'm happy to hear that you are planning to add additional options to manage the rankings of the domains in the homepage of our WLM. That's a cool feature!

Currently, in the section "Popular Domain Names" we are only able to manage the ranking of our standard names. Will we be able to manage the ranking of all names (standard and premium) in that section?

Also currently this function is not working correctly. The name to which I assigned position #1 is almost never shown in the first place as it should. Right now it is shown in the 3rd place while in the first place there's an old and rather weak domain name owned by SH which I would rather see in the last place .... I hope this will be fixed and the feature will work corectly.

 

@GrantP first of all I would love to thank you for listening to our feedback and enabling the feature to communicate with logo designers. That is very helpful and I'm seeing better results in logo designs. I would love to propose a few ideas how to further develop the process of designing logos for premium names.

1. Could we please have an easy way to send a tip/bonus to logo designer for doing a great job and/or after the domain name sells? Currently, we can do that via the blue button. I'm happy to have this option, I used it several times already, but I feel a bit uneasy about having to bother your support staff every single time and have them process the transaction manually.

2. Could we please be able to select 2-3 favorite logo designers and grant them exclusive early access to our names? If they don't pick up the name in 72 hours then we could either pick another set of designers or release the name to everyone who is available. I'd be more than happy to wait several days to get a great logo design that will help my name to get noticed and will increase its' chances of being sold rather than to get a weak logo in a few hours and then have lower chances of selling the name for years

3. Another possible way. We could see a list of 10 - 15 top-rated logo designers with samples from their portfolio and select whom to offer the name. If the selected designer does accept the name in 48 hours we could either offer it to someone else from the list or release it to anyone who is available. Designers in the list could mark themselves "not available" whenever they feel like it in order not to be overwhelmed with new offers.

These features (2 and 3) could be optional and sellers who are not interested could simply disable it for their portfolio and have exactly the same logo design process as it is now.

@GrantP one last thing Could you please explain how sub-categories work? I.e. main category Outdoor & Adventure has sub-categories: adventure, hiking, fishing, outdoor, shopping. I don't see these sub-categories anywhere in SH marketplace and therefore I'm hesitant to assign them to my names. Could you please clarify if potential buyers can access these categories somehow? What happens if I assign a sub-category to my name? How does it help my name to be discovered by the right potential buyer?

 

My Annualized STR dropped to 0.99% , No sale from last 10 months with near 300 names now , Waiting for a charm to happen

 

@GrantP if I want to compete with the SH curated domains selling as low as $749 today how can I adjust the prices of my brandable domains. The lower I can go is the price the name was accepted with and if that is $1999 the max discount I can apply is $200 bringing the price to $1799.

Is SH happy with the thousands of SH curated domains currently selling bellow the $1500 mark? If the answer is yes why you have changed the pricing tool, I can price a $1999 accepted name as high as $3699 but all options to reduce the price have been eliminated. A few months ago the option was there to price as low as $899!

No sales since March 2020 with 10 times the names now, I had 2 sales with SH and both were for $1699 or below so probably $1999 as floor is too high for some names.

I would like to also report no sales at SH since 4 months, although I have around 500 names, which is unusual low STR!! sales were frequent in the past, something changed in SquadHelp in mid 2020 and things do not work any more as in the past. During these 4 months of no sales at SH, I had some sales at Afternic, which is strange that my SH domains are selling at Afternic but not at SH platform directly! which indicates that the problem is not in my domains but in SquadHelp platform probably.

I have 14 domains still in 'Pending Review', each has between 14-20 reviews completed. All were added 5-6 days ago, why is it taking so long??

 

5-6 days. Haven't you realized SH is the fastest in the industry. Try BB with 25-40 days in average.

 

Never used & don't care about BB because I dislike paying listing fees. Usually my names gets a decision within 3 days, so it's obviously strange that it takes longer than usual.
