Could be the case for Blab, servers updated April, but "Exactly" shows "pending transfer", so if in fact it sold, probably a fresh one.

Perhaps @GrantP can tell us, how recent are those sales.

For anyone aiming or in vip domainer status: As soon as you hit that 100 your names will be priced lower than before so that they don’t have to give you the discount. I have a high acceptance but since hitting 100 names suddenly most aren’t worth the 2.5 K when just prior many were. Sorry but when I bring a bunch of domains I am not taking sub prices and higher commissions anymore.

I think that super low pricing and discounts in general are mostly unwarranted when it comes to domains. Unless we are talking newly registered inventions bordering on weird. I don’t feel that SH are very capable of distinguishing between $1.xxx names and say 3.xxx - 5.xxx names. I’ve started rejecting their pricing. I have a big enough portfolio for a sell through experiment. I wish them good luck.

Yes I rejected many too. A good name will sell anywhere so I am not concerned about it. Their success is in large part do to their very low prices. We are the test subjects for a slightly higher pricing model. I have no problem with relatively low prices if the commission is equivalent to what is charged elsewhere and is fair.

I assume those are listing prices and we don't know if the names sold for that or for a fraction of that price via negotiation.

A large majority of the domains are purchased directly from the Premium Domains section. However, we find that submitting relevant premium domains to contests can increase the likelihood of a sale, and several sellers use this method to increase the visibility and discovery of their names to prospective buyers who are running naming contests.

We only show the recent sales in Recently Sold Domains section. However in the last two days, couple of previously sold high value domains started appearing in this section. This was because the payment for these domains was made manually (such as Wire transfer, Escrow etc), and therefore, there was a temporary glitch in getting them added in the recently sold section.

Regarding pricing, we have received this feedback from few sellers, and our goal is to find the right balance between selling price and achieving a strong sell through rate. Of course we have the same incentive as the sellers to price the domains as high as possible (SH commissions are based upon a percent of selling price). In the near future we plan to introduce a Make offer feature which will allow the sellers to list some of their domains without a specific selling price.

    Thanks @GrantP
Better still, let there be 3 options for sellers to choose for their domains - Buy Now only, Make Offer only, and both Buy Now and Make Offer. These (especially the last) will add a lot of flexibility to the sales pages for buyers to make a decision.

There's no viable protection for unregistered entries. I had a case, where a winning name and my name were registered at the same registrar, on the same day, same hour, same minute with a difference of a few seconds. But for Squadhelp it wasn't enough of a proof that the CH registered my entry and nothing was done. I contacted support and they said there's nothing they can do. AND we are strictly not allowed to contact contest holders directly. Nor we are allowed to bring this up in the forum of Squadhelp.

So if you come up with a gem, register it first, then add is as basic, basic plus or premium and only then submit it to the contest.

Squadhelp should come up with a solution to this challenge. Registering all names you come up with may not be easy for some people, because it's capital intensive.

Outside perspective: I’m not native to the SH ecosystem, but I’m native to brandable domaining. I think that if a domain is worth submitting to a contest it is most likely worth registering. If you do not register it though, you are leaving walkover on the idea that you have. It’s the same thing as budging out at $1300 in auction just to see the same name sell for 50k. Decisions, decisions. And tough luck.

Anyone else have ridiculously long waits on logos for some of their names while others get done the next day?

@GrantP the feature of reporting domains registered after submission to contests IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. And I believe you guys know it. So, I ask, what exactly do you hope to achieve with that since no CH will ever agree he/she is a culprit.

We have fairly detailed process for following up and reporting on domain registrations. When a domain is registered, it can be registered by any of the following:

    1. Contest Holder
2, Other Creatives who also came up with similar ideas
    3. Someone completely unrelated to SH platform

When a CH (or their colleagues) registers a domain, many times they are not aware of the bonus policy, and once they are made aware of the policy, they are happy to send a compensation as outlined in our Terms of Service.

A large majority of companies who are paying to launch naming contests on SH are large corporations or startups that are raising funds and expect to become large. It is our belief that most customers do not willfully violate Terms of Service just to save $100 of bonus compensation. It is not prudent for a business (small or large) to expose themselves to a legal risk, when they can simply acquire the name by paying a $100 bonus to the creative. Of course there can be exceptions, and your experience or belief might be different.

Unwanted domain registrations are not good for anyone. We have invested in significant resources who followup with CH's everyday when a domain is reported as registered. If you believe that our process for following up on domain registration does not meet your expectations, or the risk of submitting unregistered domains outweighs the benefits, we urge you to only submit registered domains to contests.

Our team can also assist in changing your account setup such that the unregistered domain submission feature is blocked from your account - this way you can only submit registered domains to contests. In fact, if you are a domain investor, we highly recommend removing the unregistered domain submission option and submitting only registered names to contests. By submitting unregistered domains, you are taking a risk and it is only a matter of time that those ideas will get registered by someone. If you believe those ideas are a good fit for a contest holder, they are likely worth making the upfront investment to register them.

@GrantP Thanks for all your help so far! I'm starting to like SH because of the review time. Definitely the fastest of all the marketplaces.

Anyway, is there any reason why we can't change our public name 30 days after account creation? What if the buyer thinks that changing his name will positively affect his branding? Also, my account is showing my full name lol.

    Thanks in advance!

Their review time used to be great but now, it's kinda of slow. I have pending names since Thursday. It used to be 24hrs in my experience.

@GrantP Can a CH end a contest early? Like days remaining and choose a winner?

Looks like it's taking over 4-5 days for a name to get listed after approval? Used to be first like within 48 hours after approval.

I waited over two weeks for a logo recently, then found it in the recent arrival section, along with two names in the same industry with almost identical logos. Disappointing, especially after the wait.

Just an update: I asked through the blue button about the similar logos issue I was having, and the logo in question was revised quickly. I also had logos completed for four other names within a couple days of approval, so maybe wait times are on the way down again.

It’s still the fastest review time among its competitors. The real deficit compared to others is crappy logos and long logo wait time.

You got lucky. I routinely have names take 21 to 24 days to get a logo.
