I joined SquadHelp.com about a week ago or so.There are a lot of features I like on there. The ability to write a description about your domain, categorize it, tag it and even choose from a selection of images which relate to the category in which your domain is in or upload your own image. I've filled out my profile and submitted all of the information I needed to complete my profile to 100%. So far, I've submitted about 24 domains. I did pay $1 for each domain to be submitted for review to be listed on their Premium Market. I also added the marketing exposure feature to each domain name at the price of a 20% (min $300) SH commission when and if any of my domains sell.

Aaannd, so far, SquadHelp has been one by one rejecting every single one of my submissions for premium listing, leaving me in the standard market with the option to enable marketing exposure on my DNs only. πŸ˜‚ I still have a few DNs pending review for premium, so there's a chance one could still be accepted, but it seems not likely that any of them will be accepted at this point, as I've come to learn that their marketplace, according to them is "very curated" and that they only accept about "8-10% of the submissions." Lol

I find this quite interesting. It's interesting because a lot of the names that SquadHelp accept to be featured on their market would most likely be considered as valueless domain names here. I mean I'm not saying they ARE valueless. Idk, but the value and pricing of Domains seems to almost be subjective on SH more than anything. I don't know. Like, it's almost as if no research at all goes into keyword research, CPC, exact search or anything for a lot of the domains. It seems more like, "here's a domain idea I came up with, I think it's a great brandable domain name, and I think it's worth $5000 or $10000. Buy it." lol

I'm just saying, that from what I've learned from some of the guys here on NamePros so far regarding stuff like Exact Search, CPC or studying Comparable Domain sales etc, based on these things, a lot of the domains SquadHelp has accepted to be featured on their market, would be considered valueless in the eyes of some of the people here on this forum. Some of the domains that are being featured or that have sold recently would probably not have been expected by anyone to have sold for as high as some of these domains have or have not but are intending to be. lol

Like for example, some of their featured domains that haven't sold yet are: "PoppyWorkwear.com," "GorgeousTail.com," "WellShores.com," "BrandSpankingYou.com."

    Recently Sold Names on SquadHelp.com:
    Mintfi.com sold for $4,299,

    InvestiCore.com sold for $2799
    Travend.com sold for $1599
    Wellavo.com sold for $1599

There are many more with no exact search volume, no CPC or anything.

Why am I writing about SquadHelp here now? Well, I guess I just wanted to express my observations regarding this new (to me) website so far and my experience. And I just simply found it interesting that none of my domains so far have been accepted despite having followed all of the submition best practices guidelines etc. I thought maybe it might have had to do with some of domains not being 60 or more days old, but even the ones that I've had for a year or longer were rejected.

Anyways. I'll stick with this SquadHelp website for about a year and see where I am at.

Have any of you had any good or bad experiences with SquadHelp? I'm curious to know!

Brandables are very subjective and don’t rely on CPC etc. Maybe study more what kind of names they accept. Their WLM is also an option.

  3. Brandable market places like Squadhelp and Brandbucket accepts names that are likely to sell on their platform. That is a lot of people are mad when their Auction domains get rejected.
But I do think SH is a great place to hone your name selection skills, despite all the Naysayers.

Data based name selection that you mentioned are good for names that you park and wait for someone to come. These domains have a few specific potential buyers and you buy the names based on potential buyers you come with based on research.

You put them in DAN, Afternic, SEDO, uniregistry or even an Efty landing page and wait for the buyer to type in the name and offer you a price or press BIN. These buyers include people looking to upgrade from a .io or .co to com, people looking to protect thier brand name from typos and other short forms, people looking to start a business, other domain investors and so on

People successful in this model make a lot money. Buying this names are easy. You just need to know what price you are willing to pay. You will find them on Namejet, GDD auctions, Dropcatch with lots of Bidders from other , hopefully successful domainers.

How SH and BB works on a different model. Since they do have many domains with good potential buyer metrics, they also get typing traffic from potential buyers, but majority of their buyers people looking for "New Business Names".

While the above names on Landers are looking for a buyer who starts to type in a "Name" either in the browser or a search on afternic or other registrars (called Registry path), SH/BB active promotes their website on the internet to get traffic from people looking for Business Names.

They advertise for various keywords related to Business Name generator, New Business Naming etc and they also buy banner advertisements on several websites where entrepreneurs and business people hang out.

SO in essence they are active promoting your names listed there.

So many of these buyer don't have a pre-requisite or pre-determined name when they make a purchase on BB, SH etc.
They come and search for various names depending on their Niche, and SH/BB have that data and thus approve names that will likely sell on their platform.

Now they are also only humans and one man's shit can be another's gold, and many names that they reject also gets sold outside, "if" it was bought on sound principles.

But for a newbie, holding on too too many shit is pretty bad.

SH used to accept very bad names earlier so instead of comparing your names with names that are listed on the platform, try to analyse names that have been sold and start buying names similar to those.

On your dashboard, you will see the leaderboard with sell through rates more than 10

Analyse their portfolio and you will get to learn what makes a great portfolio with good sell through.

Brand Bucket has stricter criteria and they are also a good way to determine what names are good or bad.

Also if you names meet many of the criteria like TLDs taken, popularity of the name as company names etc,
    SH will accept.

Interesting that they have the private seller option now. I wonder if SH is one of those private sellers.

  5. You can chose to keep your profile private.
But I doubt if SH has great Sell through to be on leaderboard considering all the unreg names people submit as well as those that they renew on behalf of people in second year. They must own a lot of legacy bad names

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to tell me not to do here? Are you saying I can't post domains with the .com attached to them? Only with the [ . ] ? So like instead of "Mintfi.com," write "Mintfi." ? Lol Why. I don't understand if this is the case. I've definitely seen plenty of posts where the .com was added to the domain. This is after all, a website about domains. Why wouldn't you include the extention? Please clarify why I shouldn't add the .com to domains if this is in fact what you are trying to tell me. Thanks.

  11. Yes he means just that because the end user of that domain name might not like his name being mentioned on forums.
It is a matter of privacy.
    Just write is as Mintfi(.)com
There is no need to type out the full name, it is forum courtesy,

Plenty of posts where the .com was added was by people who doesn't know, people are deliberately trying to promote their own name, People who masked the name (if you copy the name and paste it will not be the .com ), or only on Sales Thread and the sales thread are usually cleaned up once auction is over (Only sales thread can be editted any number of times)

The SH site is very buggy, and the search function is primitive, which makes it harder to sell certain domains. The founder admits this in a post (squadhelp dot com/blog/overcoming-the-search-paradox-for-brandable-domains/).

Avoid the name selection competitions as the winners seem to be subjective. I like the meritocratic format but it does not work here. Most contest holders have bad taste, they need more direction rather than random people throwing out random names.

Don't waste any more money on coins. What makes you think you will be successful after failing 24 times? They are getting stricter as the site is becoming bloated with subpar names (like all other brand marketplaces).

Use the free option until you get a name accepted / learn what they like. Or better yet, go learn about DNS or web design, rather than wasting your time and money gambling to be accepted into a marketplace.

Thanks! I think you’re right. I’ll stick with the free version with the market exposure I think.

I think SH is just growing quick and they are not ready for the capacity it has right now ...If there was a SquadHelp stock I'd probably invest into it lol
