I just tried Spaceship.com. They're a NameCheap brand and launched their beta. I think they rightfully deserve a thread on NP to discuss our experiences with their new registrar.

Remember, it's still in beta so do expect some glitches, work to be done... Would be cool in someone from NC would care to chip in :) @tamar

Something is wrong with Spaceship SellerHub. I listed a name only as buy now. But when I type it into NameCheap reg path it shows the Make Offer option alongside BIN. Can you guys please fix?

There’s also a discrepancy between searching with and without the TLD. It will show different feeds with potentially different pricing. What exactly did you type in your example?

Thanks for sharing! Just checked it out—definitely feels fresh and minimal. Curious to see how it stacks up against other registrars once out of beta. Anyone else tried bulk tools or transfer features yet? Would be great to hear more feedback, especially from those managing larger portfolios.

Anyone concerned about Spaceship.com's low prices, they must be losing money with those deals. I've transferred about 100 names, but unsure if it's safe to keep the higher value names there?

They are owned by NameCheap. They can sell domains at a loss and make money on ancillary services.

What is your concern, that they go out of business?

Probably that they price aggressively to attract users then raise prices similar to NameCheap hoping most are too lazy or too dependent on ancillary services to transfer. Crossing fingers that doesn't happen!

basically yes, and subsequently losing domains. I assume its a separate company, so hypothetically bankruptcy wouldn't affect NC

The minimum BIN price on Spaceship should be USD 99 and not USD 100 !
I'm already selling a lot of domains for USD 99 on Namecheap and it's confusing that Spaceship requires minimum USD 100

Hi,

am I stupid, or isn't there any more the possibility to bulk copy selected domain names?!

There used to be that feature in domain manager, to copy all domain names you selected, and simply paste them somewhere else...

Hello, this option is available in Domain Portfolio application.

Does Spaceship.com have any plans of letting the user choosing the landing page branding between Spaceship & Namecheap?

Namecheap is a much older brand and the second largest registrar globally. I would prefer Namecheap branded landing pages. For the buyer Spaceship/Atom/Aftermarket.com etc are all the same - all unknowns.

Namecheap branded landing pages
I disagree. I don't want any implied expectation for the buyer that any of my names are cheap or available cheaply.

That's why I'm asking them to give that option to us (domain sellers). We may have different types of domains, different target audience, and simply different opinions.

For me - If I have to move from Godaddy landers, it would be to Namecheap. Not Spaceship.

Hello, we did not have it in our plans. I have passed to the team, however I would also suggest to add this as a feature request via spaceship site.
