I just tried Spaceship.com. They're a NameCheap brand and launched their beta. I think they rightfully deserve a thread on NP to discuss our experiences with their new registrar.

Remember, it's still in beta so do expect some glitches, work to be done... Would be cool in someone from NC would care to chip in :) @tamar

You should be able to easily add domains from Domain Portfolio to the Seller Hub, either individually or selecting multiple domains

Doesn't really make sense that I'm "Importing" domains on the Spaceship registrar into the Spaceship Seller Hub.

"Import" terminology should only be used for domains registered outside of Spaceship

I've mentioned this multiple times to them. They said they have forwarded it to the "proper team"

@enetwork

I cannot verify my domains on the seller hub. When I click on view guides, I cannot go to the Spaceship nameservers. Anyone has the same issue? Looks like a glitch or something.

Hello, could you please DM your username or domain name where you see such issue to me along with the browser that you use? I will pass to the team. I have just checked on my domains and the guide works as expected so need more details to see where it comes from.

Some of those "Product needs DNS configuration" notifications seem to be unnecessary and stuck for some reason, or at least the Sale page is live regardless.

This one is already in progress and should be fixed soon.

Does anyone know how to have landers marked as secure on Spaceship Seller Hub.

I am only starting to use it, have listed two .ai domain names, both registered at Spaceship, and although the landers became operational after a few hours, they still show as not secure, even well over a week after listing.

Thanks for any help.

Bob

Nice registrar but a bit "COLD" as for me. Domains must be warm to sell

I've never used Spaceship for landers so I may be wrong, but it sounds like a SSL certificate issue. Is Spaceship properly generating them for your domains?

Right that is the issue. I see some others are reporting issues with that, but a bunch of Spaceship landers do have SSL activated, so just seeing if there is some step one needs to do. I would have thought it should be automatic.

yeah, from what I read of the docs, it should be installed automatically within 15 minutes. I'd reach out to support

Update re Spaceship Landers and SSL:

I think it is some sort of long term Chrome caching issue, even with reloading.

I did a "does example.ai have a SSL certificate" Google and the AI overview said yes it does.
  • When I enter http:// example.ai I go to a page that Chrome says is insecure, but shows the Spaceship lander correctly (i.e. there is apparently both an http and a https version)
  • When I enter https:// example.ai in Chrome I go to a page with proper secure Spaceship lander.
  • In Chrome, when I simply enter example.ai it takes me to the http so gives a security warning (this is my problem)
  • In Safari when I simply enter example.ai it takes me to the https Spaceship lander and is secure
  • When I use Opera with example.ai it properly goes to the secure lander version
  • When I use Brave with example.ai it properly goes to the secure lander version
PS 'example' replaced with the word of my domain name at Spaceship Seller Hub, of course :xf.smile:

Well worked out. If I had $1 for every time it was a Chrome caching issue while web developing, I wouldn't even need to sell any domains.

At the moment, when importing new domains to SellerHub, CamelCase is sometimes respected, sometimes not. (Chrome & Firefox)
