Spaceship.com recently launched a new Marketplace section, and as NamePros has given me the go-head, I think the company deserves its own thread for NP domain marketplace users to converse in.

https://www.spaceship.com/sellerhub/

Personally speaking, I will be setting up a new Spaceship.com account this weekend and going to work investigating its various features, options and policies.

@Spaceship you really, really need to automate text verification for names left listed on SellerHub by previous owners and not simply say they fail and you need to contact support to handle each one manually.

yeah it's super annoying. You have to point nameservers back to the registrar first to be able to add the verification txt. Then you need to write to support, it takes 5 minutes, then 8 minutes, then another 10 minutes, then it gets escalated to the tech team and you don't know how long it takes for them to finally add the domains, then you change back the nameservers

OMG, what is the use of DNS TXT verification if it's a manual process?

It's like coding a huge program that some old guy in IT then needs to transfer to punch cards before entering it into the system.

Basically it takes the whole day.

Correction: Will take two days.

Does anyone know how the make offer flow in Spaceship is supposed go?

After making an offer via a landing page, creating account, the verify email address link currently brings you to this screen. Shouldn't you land at the place where you can see the offer you made?

Hello, this is certainly not how it should work. We were able to replicate the matter and will do our best to fix it. As for your case, you can try reloading the page and your negotiation screen should appear there.

Thanks @Marina Savina & your team for making LTO CSV Upload possible.

I've downloaded the new CSV template and the LTO Period upload works, but the Downpayment % field is not applied.

For example, when I set LTO Period to 6 and Downpayment % to 10 in the CSV, only the LTO Period is honored after upload; the Downpayment details are left empty.

@Marina Savina Will the LTO be visible within the Namecheap registration path, or is that functionality still under development? A quick check only shows the BIN, and no LTO yet.

@Marina Savina How to remove an active LTO for a domain, when it's already set, using CSV? Leaving the LTO Period field empty will not remove/disable LTO after uploading the CSV. Suggestion: let us enter the word "disable" in the LTO Period field to disable an already active LTO, or something like that.

It would be great if I could download/save lead chat.

@Edward Marukhian Hey Edward, another usability issue I encountered today: the chat bubble was overlaying the "Accept" button in the lead negotiation tab. I had to use dev tools to delete the element, otherwise I just couldnt click the button, no matter how I resized the window, each breakpoint displayed the bubble on top of the button.

The problems of domains listed by those who (no longer at least) own them continues at Spaceship.
Try to load a domain name and it shows failed? Check if someone else already has it listed at Spaceship.
You REALLY need to address this to maintain trust in your marketplace Spaceship, and to lessen domain investor frustrations.
Thanks for listening,
Bob

PS Here is more from when I first raised it. AFA I can see only change is it now simply says failed without further explanation.

Yes, I cannot fathom Spaceship's priorities here, when it's their loss. I just sold one domain at Sedo that I couldn't list on SellerHub. And I'm not the kind of guy who contacts support unless there is a "serious" problem.

Yes if it was previously listed on spaceship, The new listing will be failed even if you add your TXT record .
When you contact customer support they will provide you with a different TXT to be added to verify your ownership !!

They should fix this issue and to allow normal TXT to prove ownership and domain to be automatically listed after that, Same like afternic .

@Spaceship
@Marina Savina

Congratulations on your sale, and I share your feeling about wasting time in a dance with support to deal manually with them. I've encountered 2 more failed listing attempts because the non-registrant has them listed at SellerHub.

Everyone loses. Spaceship loses service time resources and potential sales. The authentic registrant potentially loses on their domain name if the false listing has a much different price. If someone tries to buy the name, which will ultimately fail, then they lose time that their money is tied up, and possible currency conversion losses. Spaceship loses credibility.

Yes. Great summary. Solution is so simple and they have TXT verification for listings. Just use it @Spaceship.

So they've got one TXT code they give you that doesn't work, but after contacting support, they can give you a second TXT code that does work? :oops::xf.rolleyes:O_o

It also takes more than 2 days from them to manually verify the 2nd TXT record, this not sustainable for sure!
