hi all ! what are peoples thoughts on the domain game relating to space ?

The space domain is still way above people's heads. While the aerospace sector is booming, (I have AerospaceTV.com) the vast majority of money for space exploration still comes from governments so there is not much of a domain game there.

Space startups are growing in numbers so there is some play there, but Elon Musk gets most of the air in that market... and much of the big pay-off stuff, like asteroid mining, is so far off domains in that arena will mostly be stagnant assets for years to come.

Of course, the space changes overnight when Aliens are discovered. That will likely come sooner than later... with the new AI tools now searching the skies and combing through old and new data.
Will AI discover AAI? (Alien AI).

Its the mystery and endless speculations about space that make it a worthwhile domain game for those with active imaginations and a few bucks to spare. (I have ExtraterrestrialTV.com for fun and profit).

thanks mate that was a fantastic read! i believe there is a big startup and concentration in the space industry in Luxembourg and even big american companies are setting up base there believe it or not soo maybe space related words with a Luxembourg extention too it? whats everyones thoughts on this ? i have a creative mind haha i am glad it keeps me busy.

Since 2020 a lot has changed. By now the majority of launches into orbit is performed by private companies (predominantly SpaceX, but also RocketLab and others). Likewise, the majority of satellites orbiting earth is operated by private owners. The orbital economy and cislunar economy are quickly emerging and the share of state-sponsored projects and endeavours is declining. At the same time the number of private companies that can be considered to be part of the space economy is growing fast. On March 2, 2025 Firefly Aerospace became the first private company to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon. As soon as April of this year, NASA will send humans around the moon for the first time since 1972 on their "Artemis II" mission. When humans left earth's orbit the last time in 1972, there was no internet.

SpaceX will probably go public as soon as this summer. The IPO is expected to rank among the largest in history.

Both NASA's lunar mission "Artemis II" and SpaceX's IPO will probably bring lots of public attention to the emerging space economy.

Will this have any effect on space related domains and / or .space domains? What are your takes?

I think its safe to say, the possibilities of space, tomorrow, will continue to propel naming possibilities in the space domain market, today.

I think it is maybe 5-10 years away at best.

I am skeptical of some of the deadlines promoted for space technology advancements. There are so many health and security risks with space that can slow things down. A lot of entrepreneurs love to sell premature deadlines in this sort of tech. There probably will be a time in the future to invest in space domains but I think it is a bit early now.

True.
Space domains are a 'futures market' that's light years ahead of the game.

But time is funny in space, as the faster you go the more time slows down.
And, in cyberspace, domain name markets can emerge, fast, around a growing number of space ventures, despite how slow space developments move, the reality that some will never get off the ground, and others will fail.
