In the near future space exploration seems to be more and more relevant, to me at least, with the space station and the mars expeditions, seems to me if .coms are even still relevant then, space domains could be a good investment, kind of like the robot domain craze,
anyhow there is a name on name jet up for auction right now that fits this criteria what do you guys think of the whole space names thing ? would love to know your opinions

There are over 70 other national and regional space agencies worldwide, ranging from major entities with human spaceflight capabilities like, CNSA (China), and Roscosmos (Russia), ESA (European Space Agency), ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency),CSA / ASC (Canadian Space Agency), KASA (Korea AeroSpace Administration), ISA (Israel Space Agency), UAESA (United Arab Emirates Space Agency) as well as other specialized national programs focused on Earth observation, research, and satellite technology.

Do you think NASA covers all the other launch providers, as in depth, as well? It should be noted that NASA's direct share of global space launches is relatively small compared to private industry, particularly with SpaceX dominating, conducting over 80% of U.S. launches in 2025.

While the U.S. holds the top spot for global launches, the vast majority of these are private commercial ventures or military, rather than NASA-branded missions.

Notwithstanding the international launch coverage perspective. That's where the numbers and reasons why missionstatus.com is an "international affair" for coverage of every international and commercial agencies', missions grow exponentially. Unification of "mission status" information on a global scale and in every language.

Besides, have you seen the headlines recently? NASA's budget is getting cut again. They can use all the help we can muster ... and I am a big fan of theirs. Ad Astra to one and all!
Yeah, good luck with that. It will be like watching a flight tracker that shows air traffic in real time and talks about flights. Sure, there is an audience. I do not see the value to having a site for this since every agency that announces, and not all do, will probably have their own outlet. This is not the 60's, I do not think a large amount of people care about most of the flights and launches. I think the Chinese mission to the far side of the moon is the most talked about until the current US mission to orbit the moon. If it is so good, develop it and monetize it.

EDIT: Also looking at your AI made avatar it referenced a US space suit. It knows. LOL

I don't believe that his site has any search functionality at all as referenced in the display picture. The "register" form, is just a standard contact form provided by Godaddy Airo.

The near future is already here, spaceflight is more relevant than ever and the niche will only continue to grow. However, there is a lot of inaccurate information in this thread from participants that obviously have their own agenda in mind, with little or no regard for others. I would implore those of you with space and spaceflight related domain names to attend conventions, exhibitions and conferences such as those listed here to"trully get a feel of the pulse of the industry" and meet the type of industry professionals that would be interested in acquiring your domain names. It is a strategy and a passion that has served me well. Ad Astra to all! https://gsoa.space/events/ ; https://www.nasa.gov/events/ ; https://www.spacesymposium.org/ ; https://www.ascend.events/

I believe no one here disputes your claim that „spaceflight is more relevant than ever and the niche will only continue to grow.“ That is a rather obvious fact. People just voiced justified scepticism regarding the valuation of your domain „missionstatus.com“.

Will the space industry continue to grow? Yes, of course. Will (many) space-related domain names rise in value? Probably. Will „missionstatus.com“ make you rich? Probably not.

It already has. Fractional interest of missionstatus.com was sold yesterday to an undisclosed third-party under a mutual NDA. Thank you all for participating in this forum (even the hecklers), which played a significant role in motivating the deal. Ad Astra!

We won't have to hear more about it then. Thank goodness we can all move on.

Hopefully whatever "interest" they now have will be met with an adequate level of detail in all aspects, unlike what you put into your posts. It is almost disrespectful how little accuracy and effort there is with respect to your NPs posts.

You can edit your posts for many minutes after you press post if you, for instance, insert a quote multiple times by the way...

For anyone else interested in having an interest in the coveted "mission status" it is available in nearly all other extensions.

Now that we can all go back to topic:

Artemis II was a great success for NASA. For the first time since 1972 that humans left Earth‘s orbit. Artemis IV, scheduled for 2028, will be the first mission bringing humans back to the lunar surface.

This summer, the by far largest private space company, SpaceX, will probably go public at a valuation of up to 2 trillion US dollars, aiming to raise as much as 75 billion USD, making it the largest IPO of all time. Exciting times ahead for the new space economy and for space related domains!

Yes, upcoming blockbuster IPOs, particularly the highly anticipated SpaceX listing targeted for mid-2026, are expected to significantly drive investor interest, legitimacy, and capital into the broader space economy, including niche domains like space mining.

A potential $1.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion valuation for SpaceX is viewed as a "Netscape moment" for the space industry, encouraging institutional investors to move beyond viewing space as a high-risk niche and toward recognizing it as critical, investable infrastructure.

Impact on Space Mining & Exploration Domains:
  • Infrastructure Development: SpaceX's expansion, particularly the development of the Starship rocket to support moon bases and orbital data centers, provides the logistical backbone required for in-space resource extraction.
  • Validation of Long-Term Plays: Investors are shifting focus from near-term cash flow to long-term strategic infrastructure, with space startups generating renewed interest and increased funding ($3.1 billion in a recent quarter).
  • Increased Focus on Lunar Resources: The success of missions like Artemis II and growing commercial interest, including companies like Vermeer Corp looking into lunar helium-3 mining, are bringing attention to the economic feasibility of extracting space resources.
  • Reduced Launch Costs: The primary driver for space mining feasibility is the falling cost of space access—facilitated by reusable rockets—which makes the economics of prospecting for asteroid resources increasingly attractive.
  • Consolidation and Spillovers: The increased capital is expected to fuel consolidation and more IPOs in related industries, allowing smaller "best-in-class" space companies to enter the public market.
While the "space mining" sector itself is still in the early stages, the surge in capital and public market interest driven by larger, upcoming space IPOs is expected to act as a catalyst for investment in this domain.

If only MissionStatus was SpaceX. What will MissionStatus offer that others do not and how will you get the insider or press access that the established media has?
