My understanding is that sour mash and bourbon mean the same thing. This domain would be something like a jeanspants.com or brushcomb.net. Not terrible, but not something you would pull out to impress the ladies.

My understanding is Bourbon is a whiskey made in Bourbon County, Kentucky

Bourbon can be made with sweet or sour mash (grains)

Whiskey made with sour mash can be labled sour mash bourbon.

All modern bourbons are made from sour mash. Period. You need to do a little more research. I don't consider eHow an authority on bourbon by a longshot. IMO.

Now, I'm no sour mash bourbon lover (nor expert) but I do like data mining, so let's have a look at some hard numbers:

Google:
31,200 for "sour mash bourbon" (in quotes)

Bing:
3,770 for "sour mash bourbon" (not too sure about how accurate the Bing "exact phrase" SERP results are)

Yahoo:
11,00 for "sour mash bourbon" (exact phrase)

Finally, the Google Adwords Keyword tool shows 110 monthly (global, English) searches for the exact term.

Based on those metrics (and for me, the reasonably high SERP results for this niche term hold higher weight than the GMSV exact number from Adwords) I think this name is an easy $xxx.

Easily worth more if you can figure out what kind of minisite to build for it - and perhaps a bit tougher, how to monetize it?
