Song titles

Would song titles be worth anything in the domain market world? I know of some sites that already use song titles for their domains and they get quite a lot of traffic so would it be worth while to buy song titles for domain names?

I'm not quick on the uptake with "song titles" ... maybe some of the more popular ones, or "slogan" types perhaps. :music:

hmmm primetimedeliverance.net and houseofsmokeandmirrors.com are the names of matthew good band songs. To think of it I haven't really seen very many other sites using song titles. maybe this isn't such a good idea heh

No, it could be a good idea ... I'm just not too HiP with song titles. I'd say, generally, as undeveloped domains they probably don't have much upside ... unless wildly popular and memorable or as part of a company's "slogan" or marketing efforts. There may be some potential ™ issues here as well to consider.

I think song titled domain names are great, but only if the song title is a really popular song, or it's a great song for you to use in relation for a developing website.

Good luck if you decide to make a website out of a song title.

One thing that immediately comes to mind is "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. Whether you're a fan or not, you've more than likely heard of this song at some point. This would be a great domain for a fan site I think.

All in all, this came would still be great for a personal blog website. The name says it all; My Way.

I think that only some people like a certain artist and only some of those people like a particular song, therefore theres only a small number of people who would have interest in the site.

Song Titles can not be used as DN unless those titles are commonly used words, idioms or phrases, like 'Let it be'. Because 'song lyrics' are always copyrighted and are property of recording companies, there could be a havoc in DN market (like Napster) if song titles' grabbing starts.
But, one can play a trick in this game if facing a legal challenge... the trick is 'Song titles are always words with spaces (making sense and meaning when read separately) whereas DN are always words without spaces (making no sense or meaning when read collectively)'...!!! got it guys ??...
