Something bizarre re: .co.uk domains

A buddy told me that despite you able to push .co.uk domains to another person, you still remain the owner until you pay nominet the £50 transfer fee...

Heres a domain i sold back end of last year and guess what.....?

£50 transfer fee seems a lot if sell the name in a lower price!

Yeah, for sure... And my guess is this happens a lot.. You sell the name for xyz, you push it for free, YET the name remains under the ownership of you until you complete nominets paperwork system of forms and more importantly, £50

Guess the fraudsters of this world could have a field day...

I just transfered GolfWeekend.co.uk - and there we're only a £30 fee or something, for the buyer!
