Hi,
I have been approached about selling one of my domain names; overall I have had about a dozen such approaches, but have now decided I might sell.

Hence I am looking for an appraisial; the name is feelingsworldwide.com

I think I broke every rule in the book when I thought of this one, but it was about 7 years ago!

Any helpful advice welcome

Jo

If you have an end user interested, have them make the first offer and if it's enough for you, take it. If not, deny the offer. However, if you have to make the first offer, go crazy and say lowlow $xx,xxx and see what they do. End users being interested change the game, best of luck :)

I would accept any offer for the domain name, personally IMHO.
Can you be more specific about the origin of the potential acquirers, folks offering? Are they End users with a specific need for this domain name, if you know?

All the best!

thanks;

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, not sure I understand if Jeff you are saying that the name is not worth anything by suggesting taking any offer?

I did contact the recent people who are after the name, and asked if they would be comfortable in telling me why they were interested and to what market it would be targeted; and as they are developers was it for themselves or a client.

I did also ask them to come back to me if they felt they wanted to make me an offer; they already said they wanted to buy, but only if they could afford, so not sure where that one might lead, however I have not had a reply.

This name for me represents an ethos which I guess is not a good approach if I am looking at selling. It represented an end service that I have had to accept I will not be able to realise but still believe in.

Once again thank's

AJ

I will say depends the purpose of purchasing the domain (from the buyers). if they're students, it will be very unrealistic to quote them a $xx,xxx price. For most cases, I will let this domain go for any reasonable price too.

Appraisals IMHO.

Wish you luck,
Flora. :)

not students

Hi,
No not students; they are a Professional Software Development Company in Finland; they sent me their web address that also checks out.

I think it is really a case of how much do they want it v/s' how much am I prepared to sell it!!

Thanks AJ

Right, that's the key. How prepared are you to sell it? If I was in the situation, I would likely start at $1000 and be prepared to accept less.

Indeed, Value of domain = Buyer's buying price = Seller's selling price. Hehe, wish you luck!

Hehe,
Flora. :)

No offense but I think you got lucky with this domain name. I think it is too long and has a narrow scope. The fact that you have interested parties is great. I'd send all of them an email letting them know that you are listing the name; include the listing URL. Set your reserve to the minimum you will accept--I think $750 is a good number--and let them fight for it.
