Is there some way to only see topics from the last year or so as the default?

Hello,

There are a few options:

1. You can sort any section by the date the content was created (i.e., newest content shown first):
   • Instructions: Select "Display Options" then "Sort threads by" then "Thread creation time"
   • Example: Domain Name Discussion with newest threads first.
2. Sidebar widgets (shown on the right side of most forum pages) such as Popular This Week, Popular This Month, etc. are all new threads and do not include old threads.
3. The Content Overview page also only contains new threads and does not contain old threads.
