Hey fellow NPers.. I kinda feel like this is my cyber family so I wanted to share my artwork with you all :)

I've been doing a lot of painting lately. There is a local art show coming up and I think I might try and reserve a boothe and see if I can sell some stuff. I've never sold any of my work before, have no schooling or art education either. My father, whom I didn't grow up around, painted and left me all of his brushes, easel and some other things. So for the fast few years I've been painting something every now and then. But recently I've really been into it and I wanted to share some of what I have with you all.

I'm gonna see if I can hand reg a decent art domain name and build a min-portfolio site, but until then I'll just post my amature photos here.

Thanks for viewing :)

9 is extremely cool!

About how long do you put into each painting?

Great work,
Can't wait to see more.

Thanks so much for your kind words everyone :)

It varies. Sometimes I'll spend like 4 hours.. sometimes 4 hours a night for a few nights, sometimes I just whip it out and say done with it in like an hour.. LOL Truely that is my biggest fallback is my impatience.. I do have ADHD and it's hard for me to stick to one thing for too long sometimes.. So what I've been doing to curb that is start one, go on to another, then another, then come back to the one I started, then move to another and so on.. LOL Im still pretty new so who knows what I'll be doing a few years from now, hopefully my level of patience will grow.

I have heard that story of artists/painters before.
Working on a few back n forth sometimes.
I think thats what I would do too. lol

Best of luck to ya, at your first Art Show.

I just registered the name I'll use for my portfolio site..

Artlicious.com

I was pretty surprised it was available. There is a uk company going by the name of Artylicious but IMO.. that's the incorrect way to merge those two words.. Start with Delicious, remove the "Del" and add some "Art".. I don't know where the "y" in there name is coming from.. LOL

Also I figure if my artwork doesn't sell, and people tell me I suck, well I can at least try to sell the domain name.. lmao.

Very nice paintings, I myself happen to like #5 the best. Good luck to you with that.

As for the domain name, my best guess would be that "TL" together in english is somewhat difficult to pronounce - the language lends itself to having a vowel sound between those 2 consonants. So perhaps the other folks were trying to insert some type of vowel sound with the "y".

Just yesterday a friend mentioned going to meet his realtor to see about buying some property, but he pronounced it "real-AH-tor" instead of the 2 syllable "real-tor". Well we know it's not spelled realator...

I like #3 best, I could imagine that on a wall in our house. We have quite a few pieces of artwork around the place, and I do a little bit myself. (Nothing to boast about!)

Good luck with your show! :)

I see what you are saying.. But IMO, it's not hard...just say "art" then say "licious".. then put it together.. LOL Same thing with "real" "tor".. hahha.. But I totally know what you are saying.. I live in mid-missouri and there are plenty of people around here who can't talk correctly.. hahah. They put "s's" where an "s" should not be, and make words harder to say than what they really are, all the time.. lol

I like 1, 3, 8 & 10 the best. Even though abstracts are not really my thing.

Keep at it though, good going.

I'm hoping to start oil / acrylic on canvas as soon as I have time.

Wow this last one is powerful... again .... nice work Man.
You can really see/feel the passion in your paintings ...
Have you done any large scale paintings? The last one
would be awesome at say 5' x 9' framed with lighting ...

I was one of those artist (late 70's early 80's) that was
fixated on the female anatomy ... Were'nt we all? :]

Thanks for the share ..... nice work.

I definetly want to. I'm currently trying to find a professional photographer to high quality pictures so that I can sell limited, signed, digital prints. I just have very limited resources so I am trying to find someone who will cut me a deal.. ;)

are you selling digital art too?

Cheers
