I posted these for sale earlier, but now they have some content:

http://dailyfinance.mobi
http://dailymusic.mobi
http://dailysports.mobi

All the content is dynamically updating, based on RSS feeds which I've selected. Right now its just a bare-bones proof-of-concept, I'd like to get some feedback on what you guys think in general about using RSS/Atom feed content on domain names (versus parking).

If your interested in the software, let me know.

Hello,
Nice names and sites. I am using RSS feeds on agn.mobi. I like sites with information or something on it. I hate all the parked domains. Seems like a waste to just park domain names. Mainly .mobi's because we need sites to get people to use them and to make them worth more. Goodluck with your sites.

The problem with using RSS for .mobi is that the sites that are the linked may or may not be .mobi compliant. So if user on your website clicks on one of the RSS links and if that site is not .mobi, then the user may get ennoyed. If you select the RSS from the sites that are .mobi or WAP complient then it might be ok. Just my 2 cents.

I do agree that RSS is better then just parked domains though.

Yeah, I've already noticed that many RSS feed links don't work well on mobile (on the dotmobi emulator), and some don't work at all.

AFAIK, the dotMobi compliance requirements are for links to within the same site, not across sites... so the letter of the law is at least met, even if the spirit is not.

I'm not really concerned about this right now, because I'm promoting the .MOBIs as general web sites, not just for mobile devices.... I expect PCs to be where the majority of traffic comes from on my .MOBIs, at least in the near future.

You are right, For PCs no problem. To overcome this problem one thing I did with my site, eIndia.mobi, which uses RSS, is that I removed the link tages from the script. So, no links, just headlines and descriptions. The disadventage is that user can not get complete news, just the updated headlines. But in case the links does not work with .mobi, he will not get the news anyway.

vcool, I like your site eIndia.mobi. Where do you get the stock quotes from? I'm looking for a stock quote provider myself.

I just registered horoscopefree.mobi and I think this will make a great .mobi website . Please tell me about the software and How I might be able to get horoscope "rss feeds" ? I don't have a clue about this stuff.

Wow these are some nice sites. I'm glad to see so many .mobi sites popping up. Make sure you add them to sites like seeks.mobi and dir.mobi.

Goodluck to all the new .mobi sites and keep it up.
