Sold my first domain w/ Sedo

Hello. I am just finishing up MY first domain name sale and it was through Sedo. Just waiting on payment. It was pretty easy and only took 4 days from start to finish. I sold casinonightly. com for $100. Not too shabby IMO. Just wanted to share my experience. Thanks.

Honestly, I have been just trying some different things that other people have suggested.

I have been trying to make sure I get my Domains for Sale noticed whenever I can.

I list my domains at Sedo and anywhere else you can list for free.

I am just starting to do the individual conatcting for a couple of my names, but that hasn't fetched any results yet.

Just sold www.igofree.com with Sedo; was asking $499, domain broker offered $250 on behalf of client, I said I'd let it go for $299. That's the gross, after-Sedo brokering, netted $269.

Had the name a couple of months. Sold two others via Sedo, but initiated elsewhere (here?) for $339 (net, I think) for both.

Only other sale was for a lousy $9 via eBay.

Nevertheless, I'm very close to break-even on 80 names purchased since joining NamePros a few months ago, with 76 names to go. IMHO, the names that are left should - on average - net a hundred plus apiece. Not bad for a part time hobby that is FUN to do. Weird the way some of us find this fun, isn't it!

I didn't do any negotiating, I probably should have. I had listed as make an offer but I was looking to get right around $100 for it. So when offered that amount I just took it. I will probably handle things differently next time, because this is still a learning experience, But it seemed like a reasonable offer to me at this time.
